...the advertising material promoting L'Oreal Wrinkle Decrease Collagen Filler.
It made lots of promises - on application my wrinkles would be "visibly smoothed on the surface", in a week the wrinkles "would appear as if smoothed from within" - OK, fair enough, I have now been using it for two weeks - so, is it working? Was it worth the money?
I bought my L'Oreal Wrinkle Decrease Collagen Filler whilst ... ...sells for £11.99 and for that you get 30ml of product in a tube. The first thing that struck me about it was the amount of packaging! It was in a clear plastic box, inside which was a cardboard box, inside which was the tube and yet more cardboard to separate the tube from the instructions! All of which seemed pretty wasteful and also somewhat geared to make it look like you were getting more than you actually get.
I suppose I have to admit it, albeit reluctantly, that the years are starting to take their toll. To be fair I am not really that wrinkly (yet) but I put that down to the fact that I don't smoke (and never have) whereas most of my contemporaries who have smoked have faces vaguely resembling a road map these days. However in the pursuit of eternal youth I read, with some interest, the advertising material promoting L'Oreal Wrinkle Decrease Collagen Filler.

I bought my L'Oreal Wrinkle Decrease Collagen Filler whilst I was in Tesco doing my weekly shop. It sells for £11.99 and for that you get 30ml of product in a tube.
There is a very fine hole at the end of the tube which dispenses the cream. The instructions say use daily, morning and/or evening over the whole face. I suspect if you were doing that the tube wouldn't last for very long at all however as I had two key areas where I wanted to test out the cream - round my eyes and on my neck - I decided just to apply it to those areas and to try to measure the effects. It wasn't until I got inside the pack and read the instructions in there that I read the words "for pronounced wrinkles" and to be honest mine are not really pronounced. I have fine lines around my eyes (I laugh a lot you see) but I do have a more pronounced line across my neck which was an area I wanted to test it out on.
The cream is light and easy to apply and seems to be quickly absorbed however I can't say that I noticed any real difference on application whereas they say - "on application: wrinkles are visibly smoothed on the surface". I have to say I don't think they were in my case. They also claim that "in 1 week: wrinkles appear as if smoothed from within" - again I hate to be negative but I really don't think they were appreciably any better.
Being I persistent soul I have continued to use the cream for a further week and maybe, just maybe, I can detect a slight 'plumping' of the skin around the eye wrinkles and possibly on the neck but frankly nothing to get excited about at all and they certainly haven't been smoothed from within whatever that means!
I should say that I don't use heavy make up or foundation. I tend to use a tinted moisturiser to give me a little colour. This means that I don't get make up showing up the wrinkles, as you can with a heavy foundation, and it could be that this product would show more of an improvement for people who do use a lot of make up. It might have the effect of 'filling in' the cracks so that they aren't quite so noticeable.
Overall I was disappointed with the product - but then again I am a realist and I do know that however hard you try you can't really hold back time. It is just that for some reason I find myself drawn to thinking that some day an answer will be found. I am obviously an advertisers 'dream customer' as I do tend to fall for the hype!

...I came across L'oreal Wrinkle De-Crease Collagen filler in Boots. I am not sure how much it cost then but it is now selling for £15.67. It claimed to be an intensive anti-wrinkle serum which would reduce the appearance of wrinkles---perfect! The product was supplied in the ususal blown plastic packaging that took a while to get into but eventually I got my hands on the tube. It is a pale metallic purple with a grey lid. There is a ruler drawn along ... ...it will give "measurable" results. The shelf life once opened is 12 months and this tube is a 30ml size. The product contains Collagen Biospheres (whatever those may be!) and it should be used once or twice a day on a cleansed face. I had never used a serum product before so after reading the scant instructions I wasn't quite sure if I had to use it instead of a moisturiser or in addition to one. On opening the tube there was no perfumed smell. I ...

Advantages: Eventual results Disadvantages: Takes twice as long to show results than advertised
...23 I decided to get L'Oreal Collagen Filler Wrinkle De-Crease cream because I have some fine wrinkles under my eyes just beneath where the socket finishes and the top of my cheeks begin (I have high cheek bones). Although they are not major they are still there and they bother me nonetheless. I'd seen the TV advert where a youngish woman was applying it to her skin and the packet made no mention of being for mature skin, so I figured why not? The ... ...price of £10.48 but the usual RRP is £11.99 for a 30ml tube. However, I had a resolve to try this product in an effort to prevent the wrinkles worsening. I am slightly concerned of premature aging and once read a book by a French author who claimed that girls in France begin their anti-ageing regime in their late teenage years. I had some catching up to do, as prevention is better than cause.
The product is packaged as though it is intended to survive ...

Advantages: Good if you are the "occasional night out" type Disadvantages: Doesn't last forever
Mortality creeps up on you. In the last two years I'm starting to feel "not young" any more ... but at 46-going-on-23, I suppose considering my high level couch-potato-ness, thats okay, and to be expected.
So I convinced myself that now might be the time to attempt the use of simple collagen creams to hold some wrinkles at bay, as an alternative to botox, which I simply can't bring myself to consider. My attitude to skin ageing is that its gonna ... ...make major attempts to look like a 20 year old. Mutton dressed as lamb is not a good look, and one I tend to reserve for the bedroom only these days.
So wrinkles per se don't bother me too much. Most of them ARE laughter lines. But around my top lip is the evidence of too much smoking. I am starting to feel like Dot Cotton. I'd like to convince myself that its evidence of too much kissing, but whatever it is, the lines on my top lip are noticeably ...

Advantages: Easily absorbed Disadvantages: Does not do what it says it should
I had seen this product advertised and saw it whilst shopping in the supermarket. I was toying with the one specifically for the eye arrear as that is my particular problem area. However, I went for the all over face one as I thought I could then utilise it in all facial areas, including the eyes. I have been using it now for 2 weeks daily and I hate to say I am extremely disappointed. The visible difference I was supposed to see on application did ... ...but no, it just did not happen! I can only say that my skin looked a bit 'brighter'. The product is supposed to plump the line areas with continued use, but after 2 weeks I cannot see any difference at all. Very sorry to say but this product is not what it is promoted as and I will not be paying out extra money that quite frankly Nivea cream would have had the same result. ...

...my eyes. I am L'Oreal Wrinkle Decrease Collagen Filler convert. I have some other products too (No7 Protect and Perfect) but I use this one in conjunction as its size means its hand to pop into your handbag and use on the go to refreshen. I like the pen style shape of the applicator. This means that you can apply with precision to the areas concerned. I use it under my eyes, on my forehead and on the lines that show between your nose and mouth when ... ...eye. I have put that it only has average absorbtion, but I think this is a plus as it illuminates. The skin under my eyes has definitely improved, and the others areas are looking better as well, even though I probably only use it 3/4 times a week. Advice is daily - morning and/or evening, and I imagine you would get great results if you followed this. ...
