I really like the amount of thought that went into this device. It can be set up to work in RAID0 or RAID1 mode. The latter supports 'hot swapping', which means that if one of the hard drives breaks, a new one can be connected without the need to turn the device off (and without any loss of data). I bought this RAID array for a mirrored backup of the four workstations at our office and to store music and video files. It was easy to install. All I had to do was run the included software. That's pretty much it as far as setup is concerned. The device works well, and has tons of options and features. I like the fact that it's compatible with commonly used protocols, which means that it can be used in any way you like - as a print server, media server, file exchange server or simply for backups. 2big Network 2 is a great RAID based network storage solution. The backup software that comes with it is very convenient, it restores files, automatically saves scheduled back up copies (I use Genie for Windows). Back ups can be made and accessed from any computer, even remotely. I've set up my unit to work in RAID 1 mode, since it's the most secure option as the data is mirrored on both hard drives.
