I bought this RAID array for a mirrored backup of the four workstations at our office and to store music and video files. It was easy to install. All I had to do was run the included software. That's pretty much it as far as setup is concerned. The device works well, and has tons of options and features. I like the fact that it's compatible with commonly used protocols, which means that it can be used in any way you like - as a print server, media server, file exchange server or simply for backups. The unit can even download torrents, as it has a built-in torrent client. Though that's not something we use a lot at the office. We currently use RAID 1 configuration, which is probably the safest option for backup. The drive itself is quiet, and runs relatively cool even when used 24/7. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and reliability of this server and the wealth of features offered by it.
