I have owned this external hard drive for over a year and have found it to be an extremely reliable product. It has a 500GB capacity, which is more than enough for most people, and I also picked it up for a relatively low price, compared to other drives of a similar capacity on the market.
It is a fairly large drive, and requires its own power supply, so it is definitely not a portable device. However, as a secondary drive to your desktop pc, it is more than capable, as it has reasonably fast transfer speeds. It is also pretty durable, as mine has fallen off of its desk more than once while running, and still works as good as new.
It is extremely quick and easy to set up, taking a matter of seconds once the wires are all in place.

i was trying to buy a new HDD for my old PC who had only IDE optons and I didnt have any more space in it.

Since i had already a small lacye 40Gb disk i decided to take a look on 500gb version.
The fact that i like lacie is that the company has a background apple is using the same HDD for running their machines (i was told about it)
