LaCieLaCinema Premier my review
I already owned a 500GB version of this LaCieLaCinema but when I was in Asda and saw the 750GB for more or less the same price I paid for the other one (£129 I think) I couldn't resist the tempation. I gifted it to my in-law and she's super happy! So what's this LaCieLaCinema Premier? It's a multimedia hard disk that you can plug to the TV and it allows you to watch your media files (video, music, pictures) on your TV, it plays the most commonly used codecs such as DivX, MPEG, JPG, MP3 etc (see them listed later on). I will never praise this product enough, it's simple to use, it's durable and has a very good remote control. What does it change from the 500GB version that I already reviewed? Nothing really, only the size, it allows you to store many more media files, that's all.

Advantages: Good design, practical Disadvantages: Expensive
The LaCie iamaKey USB Flash Drive comes in 4GB and 8GB capacities, and is, obviously, shaped like a key.
I recently bought the 8GB version from Amazon.co.uk (£29.99, the 4GB version is £22.30) because I regularly need to move large files around (recordings from my band, photos, etc.) and I NEVER remember to take any removable memory with me, so because this fits on a keyring just like a normal key, voila, I always have it with me.
Some tech specs:
USB 2.0
Read mode: up to 30MB/s
Write mode: up to 10MB/s
Hot-pluggable (i.e. no need to eject like older USB devices)
Windows Readyboost compatible (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReadyBoost)
My opinion:
It's certainly not cheap, most 8GB USB drives are in the region of £10 on Amazon but if you want a good performing, fast, good-looking (as far as keys and USB drives look good ...
Advantages: Everything that is not listed in the "Disadvantages" - read review Disadvantages: doesn't support MP4, it comes formatted in FAT32 (but supports NTFS)
High rating for this multimedia hard disk. As I predicted in a previous review of mine (about a Packard Bell multimedia hard disk) these kind of products quickly increased their popularity and now we have so many brands that we really don't know which one to pick.
Since these are new products it's also hard to find any kind of review about most of them. Many report weird crashes, others have codec issues.
Well, amid all the choices, after long researches around the net I decided to pick up this LaCieLaCinema Premier 500GB and this is my review of it:
First of all, I would like to make clear that this product is EXCELLENT!
It comes in a white little square box. Taking out the contents you will find the hard disk itself, CD with manuals (no drivers), USB 2.0 cable , A/V cable, remote with batteries (2AA), power adapter ...
