i was trying to buy a new HDD for my old PC who had only IDE optons and I didnt have any more space in it. My PC also does not have any SATa connectors so i decided to buy an external HDD
Since i had already a small lacye 40Gb disk i decided to take a look on 500gb version. The fact that i like lacie is that the company has a background apple is using the same HDD for running their machines (i was told about it)
So i went and bought it. The size is compact does not make any excess noise it requires an external a power supply whitch is quite small.
After formating it it showed 480Gb total disk space. I made a single partition and moved all my movies and music to it. It copied all really fast. Generally im really satisfied about it the only thing i dont like is that when you unplug the device from the "safe remove hardware form the XP" the LAcie does not close automatically
so when you close the pc, close the Hdd too. It has a nice small button in the back.
