One of the weirdest LCD's i've seen but then for performance its simply brilliant. LaCie is known for the high-end monitors that it creates for graphics professionals - unfortunately design is not at the top of the agenda. Saying that, the unusual designs do grow on you, especially as they give such great performance.
This particular model is aimed at the broader market and knocks out the competition flat. Ergonomically its a very stable platform with the panel tilting 5 degrees forward and 20 degrees back. These adjustments are easy to make and are a complements the giant black screen.
Very easy to use with basic navigation which is simply perfect. Five control panel buttons with easy to read white labels make this very good for adjusting brightness and contrast. Its 1,600x1,200 resolution is a beauty to behold and gives excellent performance. Sharp text and vivid, bright and accurate colours gave superb picture clarity.
Dvd performance is fair considering its slow 16 millisecond response time. When it comes to gaming, fast screens do create some blurring with some noise - common to LCD screens.
One for the professional out there.
