...My incredible story with a Raid LaCie Biggest Quadra Fw 800.
I bought a Raid LaCie Biggest Quadra Fw 800 in June 2007 at Ktuin store(the biggest retailer of Mac and LaCie in Spain) in Madrid Calle Orense for 1079,00€. As soon as I took it out from the box and I connetted it to my Powerbook G4 and my MacPro the drive burn them out. Some smoke came out from the firewire socket. Three months later LaCie gave me a new Raid LaCie Biggets Quadra Fw 800.They didn't pay anything for the damage caused to my 2 computers. Luckily the Macpro was still in warranty. Mac fixed it for free but still I had to pay 700€ to fix the Powerbook.
Well, I put the brand new Raid LaCie Biggest Quadra Fw800 on my desk and I saved there all my last 5 years of work as a photographer. I also configurated it in raid 5. I didn't make any back up because:

Advantages: Probably the biggest drive for consumer use Disadvantages: Takes some time to defragment or format
..., although I don't believe that it's 'bootable', meaning starting your computer from it won't be possible. This shouldn't be an issue to anyone anyway as you'll boot from your computer and use this drive as extra storage for your programs and data.

I found, however, I needed another drive to back up this drive to, to keep my data safe. So I purchased a second LaCie d2 Big Disk for this purpose. They can link together without the need to plug both into the actual computer, which a handy feature.
I use USB 2.0 at home and Firewire when I’m out and about, the LaCie drives run beautifully on either. The notebook computer...

Advantages: Excellent Picture, resolution and quality Disadvantages: Expensive, Bulky, heavy
..., for graphic designers its essential that the colours on screen are the colours that we see on paper which is why good monitors (and printers) are required. The size also means that one can easily work on an A3 design template without straining their eyes.
Unfortunately I can't say much about the manufacturer support for this monitor, but I can say that it was relatively easy to install after a few set backs which was down to the software for the old monitors preinstalled on the computers. the instruction guide was easy to read and easy to use and the monitor itself is easy to use, and very reliable, hasn't let us down yet.
One thing I was a bit precautious about was the name of the manufacturer which I was unfamiliar with. After previously using large brands such as Samsung, Phillips and Sony, I was rather suprised when I saw "LaCie...
