The Design
Now i do like silver edged or cased products and this is no exception. The slim, long profile is complemented by the sturdy construction of the hard drive which has heat-dissipating properties to ensure that it functions even when in contact with other electronics, which i feel is a great idea.
Performance
Its a superb platform for archiving and backing up your media files such as dvds, videos, JPEGS etc. The Firewire 800 and Firewire 400 software that is provided works well with both windows and mac systems and launches and installs very quickly. The shortcut button is a useful time-saving instrument and comes in very handy when you just need to use the drive for a few minutes or moments.
As i mentioned, installation is very quick and easy and its easy to navigate.
Storage
Its a design that saves space hence its slim profile and the variety of ways in which it can be stored; upright, stacked or rack-mounted means you do not notice that it is there most of the time when in your room. This is brilliant considering that it is a whopper 500GBs.
Conclusion
The price might put some people off, but for the functionality of this product makes it a winner.
