Little house on La Prairie

Advantages: Cleanses off makeup effectively, doesn't leave skin dry/taut, works out at a reasonable price
Disadvantages: Doesn't combat spots very well

You'd be forgiven for associating foaming cleansers with the teenage 'just started cleansing properly but can't be bothered with the whole cleanser toner and cotton wool option'; however, you'd also be wrong. Apart from anything else, what teenager could afford to buy La Prairie products? La Prairie for those who don't know (and I didn't either until this was bought for me as a birthday present from my mum) is a high-end cosmetics brand, founded in Switzerland in 1982. FOAM CLEANSER Despite being in one of the most expensive ranges around, La Prairie stick to a simple self-explanatory 'foam cleanser' name. As with the majority of their range the product is sold in a smart silver cardboard box with minimal product information on three sides and the ingredients on the back. Clinique rinse-off Foaming cleanser

Advantages: Feels lovely and creamy
Disadvantages: Adds an extra step in your routine

I got a sample size of this free when buying other clinique products and have been using it for about 1 week. I don't think that there is any difference to the quality of my skin, but it does feel lovely to use. You use this before doing steps 1 (soap), 2 (clarifying lotion) and 3 (moisturiser) thus turning the process into 4 steps. You only need to use a very small amount of the product as it foams up when you rub it onto your face and feels really creamy, so a small sample tube will last me for at least one month if not longer. After using the soap as well your face feels really super clean and fresh. I don't think that I would buy a full size tube of this product as I don't really wear a lot of make up where I think you would get the real benefit of a deep cleaning product. But it is nice to use and I would gladly use more ...

Review of Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser

Clarins Foaming Gentle Cleanser

Advantages: delicate smell
Disadvantages: eye irritation, not great compatibility wit all skin types as it suggests

In a nutshell I would consider this as a rather mediocre product. This foaming cleanser does indeed fulfill its promise to effectively provide a soap and water experience. However frequent use can lead to the mild drying out of the skin, which in the absence of appropriate moisturisation can lead to the production of excessive sebum. My skin type is normal with occasional breakouts attributable to lack of sleep and air pollutants; and overall I did not consider this product to be compatible with my skin type and life style. Furthermore, this cleanser could not easily be rinsed off the eye area thus causing unavoidable irritation. Finally, I considered this product to be reasonably priced when compared to the readily available and much advertised high street brands. ...
