Another review on aesthetic products from me, this time about the label.m matt paste.
I first came across the product when my toni and guy stylist used it to finish the look on my hair. Like all designs on the label.m range, the container of this product is very clean cut and sharp, the colour schemes of a black, white or grey (depending on which section of their range the product is from; cleanse, condition, create, complete'. The writing is the contrasting colour to the main container, making it easy to read and notice, with label.m logo published on the front in a silver colour. The product container creates the professional feel that toni and guy always go for.
In ergonomics, the container has matte textured sections to add to its design, possibly to help grip, it fits in the hand well and the screw top is easy to open and keeps the contents secure. Once open, there is a transparant circular disc held in balace by a ridge, to prevent moisture from leaving the product whilst in its container. You can tell that ergonomics was considered into its design.
Now to review what I came to review, the paste itself. As you may see from my uploaded photo, in its container the paste is a very matte white, and slightly compressed. Easy to rech into with your fingers, you simply need a sample about the size of a 10p coin on the palm of you hand, run your hands together and work into the hair how you choose - this is the way I use it anyway. The scent of the product is very clean and fragrant, not too clinicy in anyway.
You can use this for boosting layers, holding hair into place, and creating textured spikes. Since the product stays soft in your hair, you don't have to worry about re-living the age old days of cheap hair gel making your hair rock solid. The products ability to hold itself when you create standing spikes 2 inches tall is the only flaw, but the texture and easy washout more than makes up for this. Whilst the product does not hold very well, it doesn't fade out of your hair, and is fairly reworkable.
To combat the fact that it does not hold longish spikes very well can be tackled with bying a spritz spray to hold it in place. My hair style has 1-2 spikes at the back-top of my head that purposefully tilt in one direction, this product is great for styles like this, or if you want to define your layers or even just work your fingers through your hair to hold it in place.
For 50ml it costs £9.95 and 120ml is £19.95 Expensive tastes have expensive prices, I wouldn't compromise buying this product if you want amazingly styled hair, but maybe you could find it as a cheaper deal on the internet some where :)
