Garnier Belle Color Permanent Color

I have always wanted my hair to be light ash brown/ dark ash blonde with highlights.
So I decided I will do it myself.I bought this tone < Belle Color GARNIER. Natural dark ash blonde 7.1> The tone on the side of the box was similar to the color I want as a base color.
My hair before dying it with this dye was light blonde (bleached and colored). Because of that I was hoping I will get the same result as shown in the picture.
BUT.. My hair color after I washed and blow dry my hair- is an ash grey.
Now on the second day after dying my hair. I looked in the mirror in daylight and the color is just scary.
Before I bought this tone, I read that for one of reviewers after using this tone, the result on hair was gray. Because anyone's hair are different I thought, my result will be 'very cool toned dark ash blonde'. Yes right..I was hoping to put highlights on this color, but now I don't know what to do. Should I wash my hair 10 times today with fairy to get this dye out or dye over it? My hair before I dyed with this dye was already damaged. If I choose to dye over it , that much coloring will damage my hair even more.
