Very accurate and smooth. Speed can always be adjusted through windows like all mouses. But you shouldn't really need to as i find this to be perfect.

The mouse is more built for purpose rather that style. The mouse's design suits both right and left handed people and has been tested by my friend who is left handed with good response.

"Ease of use" The mouse came with a CD, but i didn't it and it was just plug and play for me personally. But like most plug and play hardware you have to plug it in before you start your PC up. However my friend has the same mouse and he agrees with everything above but he says when he un-plugs it and plugs it back in, it takes him a few re-starts of his PC before the mouse responds. Whether that is a problem with his PC or the mouse i don't know.
The mouse has a very easy to use layout which doesn't require much effort or awkward movement of fingers to use the buttons or scroll button so it feels very natural to use. The mouse also has a feature that allows you scroll sideways, this isn't used very often has most web-pages don't stretch but the feature can also be used to go forward and backward to previous and current web-pages just like the back and forward button does in your browser.
"Value for money" Value for money wise, you know that saying "you get what you pay for" well you do plus you get a little bit more too. I'm a bit of a PC gamer and games require more than the average mouse for best experience and this is exactly what this mouse is, it isn't a gaming mouse but it's a top above all the average home mouses. Perfect for anyone on a budget or anyone wanting a good office mouse.
Advantages: Smooth, easy to use, scroll wheel, ergonomic friendly, USB connection as well as optional PS/2 conection, which is included. Disadvantages: Pointer moves on its own when not in use which is strange, cable is too small.
...you are on a tight budget so £10 for this optical mouse is a bargain. If your budget is much better or money is no objection, then you may want to look at the Microsoft Optical Mouse either with wires or wireless, both are better than the Labtec Optical Mouse. ...

I first bought this mouse from Argos at the price of £14.99 and its been one of the best value products Ive bought in ages. I mainly use the mouse for my gaming needs as i find that the mouse has excellent sensitivity and is extremely smooth and works like a dream on any gel mouse mat but this is mainly of comfortablety and feel it still works a dream on over surfaces and i promise you that, It requires no maintenance at all that i know of due to ... ...and that goes without saying for its speed too. The shape of the product is perfect too built too fit right and left handed people it feels so comfortable on my right hand and there's no stress to reach the buttons with its perfectly placed roll button and a cool feature for web browsing that lets you sway from left to right aswell as up and down with the click of a button which is seated under the scroll bar in the middle of the mouse.
