After sitting in front of my pc for near on an hour trying to think of something to review instead of just rating others it finally hit me, my keyboard that I was once so impressed by. I checked and ciao did have it as a rateable product so here goes.
I bought my ultra flat keyboard from Logitech around about seven months ago. I didn’t actually need a new keyboard but this caught my eye with its sleek looks and so I thought why not. I bought it from my local curry’s and it set me back just £9.99, well worth it I thought. The most impressive thing about it was the fact that it sat flat on my desk and looked as stylish as the rest of my pc and my flat screen monitor. The other big plus for me is the fact that the keys are virtually silent so my other half doesn’t moan at me too much when I am typing away to my mates on msn when he’s got his face stuck in the telly.
Its not exactly bulging with special features but it does have audio and video controls to allow you to tweak around with your media whilst you are typing instead of having to leave your keyboard and bring up your media player with the mouse. It also has two fully programmable controls which allow you to access the internet or your emails at the single touch of a button which is quite nifty.
It comes in a pretty bland white box with green markings as do most Logitech products but once removed from the packaging its a fairly good looking piece of equipment. It’s also very easy to install and the Logitech instruction manual is very useful and helpful. There is also online help available which I have never needed so cant comment on. It is cable connected (via usb or ps2) not wireless, it works with both pc and mac and it will run on any windows platform from 98 onwards.
So if your old keyboard is on the blink or like me you just fancy a change then this is well worth a look at, it’s sleek stylish and very quiet to type on. It also has a fairly good response speed and although lightweight and very thin it is still very sturdy and built to last. With all that in mind and the fact that as i mentioned it does have a few fancy features its a good keyboard for the money.
Advantages: Fantastic size, well thought out, amazing value and well made Disadvantages: For people looking for something full sized, this isn't it (Not a negative for me, but...)
...very impressed with how well Logitech have compressed in all the keys without making them too small. It is all really well packed in, if you look at a normal sized keyboard, what they do is leave a lot of blank space, with this all they've done is taken it out and amazing at no inconvienience.
This is a seriously well thought out keyboard and it was such a great size for what I needed. It is perfectly responsive - I have used it for the occasional ... ...I've come to expect from Logitech and for the price you pay - a great buy, infact it's a great buy full stop.
I would suggest you check the dimensions of this keyboard before you buy becuse you will be suprised, for me the size was perfect and it is an excellent keyboard. 5/5 - well done Logitech ...
