...just got my new The Labtec Ultra-Flat Wireless Keyboard and mouse for a good price from my local Morrison's. So, what do I think of it so far?
Well to be honest I am presently typing this on my old hard wired keyboard and mouse, the reason? Is that after just two days of moderate use the batteries have gone flat in the mouse and has become unusable! My last keyboard of this type had the same problem and I thought it was just a problem with the manufacturer ... ...just two days like the Labtec one.
One more problem I found with this set-up and a very important one for game players was even on brand new power cells, if you are playing a game like Battlefield, whereby you need to keep a key pressed to run forward this keyboard stops transmitting after just a few seconds as it needs to charge the power back up again and this takes a few seconds and can mean instant death in games.
So my conclusion about this ...

Advantages: Slim, Sleek, Tidy, Not too light, easy tp clean, can take a beating! Disadvantages: you cant customise the media keys with the software provided
...there is something on the labtec website which allows you to do this.
I really do rate this keyboard highly, because I do not sit at a desk to use my pc, I'm either on the couch, or sat on my bed using it from a distance so I always have my keyboard on my lap. I have had other wireless keyboards in the past but this one stands out from the rest for its ease of use using it away from a desk. the keyboard can be used a good 3-5 meters away from the ... ...good position in the first place.
Finally, this keyboard is tough!
I have dropped it so many times from my bed onto wooden flooring without any problems, I've also had 3/4 of a bottle of beer spilt onto it and after only 2 days of been left upside down, it was working just as if nothing had happened!
Well I hope this information helps you in your buying decision.

Generally very good, but not perfect. Slight problem when pressing same key repeatedly it does not work then does a line of them, but it can be resolved by waiting half a second between presses, a bit annoying really but the only thing.
As for the rest its fine, i only use the keyboard as i prefer my old wired mouse just because the shape is better.
All the hotkeys work perfectly out of the box with windows xp as do the media keys.
If you go to morrisons its only £9, bargin

Advantages: Quality Feel,Light,Quiet Disadvantages: Outerbeveled Space bar, badly linked media keys
Firstly i'd like to say this is a great wireless set up, and extremely simple to set up the connection is PS/2 which free's up some extra usb ports the reciever also has led's that show if caps lock, num lock etc also batterys are supplied with the keyboard using AAA and the the mouse AA. the keyboard it's self has laptop style keys which are much quieter than most keyboards, for some reason the space bar seems more raised than all the other keys ... ...wireless mose i believe it is 700 dpi.
if anything is bad about this setup it is the mouse being rather small and there is no software to change the hotkeys, one launchs the old windows 98 media player which is useless.
the Keyboard and mouse don't require any special drivers will work stright away allthough there is a cd for added fuctionality to the mouse. (it's a bit pointless realy)
After using the bundle for a while i thought i'd add a little ...

I also bought this keyboard from Morrisons for £9.99. Bargain I thought as my old keyboard is playing up, but what a mistake. The mouse eats up batteries and keeps stopping . Definately makes you want to go back to a wired set up.
