I have been using this keyboard for about 8 - 12 months now without a problem, yes the keys take a little getting use to at 1st but which keyboard doesn't when you are used to your old one?
I'm guessing the other guy who reviewed this keyboard must not have read the instructions about placement of the receiver, because I haven't had a problem with keys not working, however if the receiver is placed too close to something else e.g. your monitor or is placed next to your pc near a fan or hard disk, then you will find that it misses a few letters off while typing, but that is expected due to the amount of EMI (electro magnetic interference) given off particularly by these devices
I'm also guessing that he didn't install the software CD either, because he would have found that with a simple press (not 500lbs of pressure as he suggested) the media buttons work just fine.
The only downside to the media buttons is that you cannot set them yourself with the software provided however, there is something on the labtec website which allows you to do this.
I really do rate this keyboard highly, because I do not sit at a desk to use my pc, I'm either on the couch, or sat on my bed using it from a distance so I always have my keyboard on my lap. I have had other wireless keyboards in the past but this one stands out from the rest for its ease of use using it away from a desk. the keyboard can be used a good 3-5 meters away from the receiver just as long as the receiver is in a good position in the first place.
Finally, this keyboard is tough! I have dropped it so many times from my bed onto wooden flooring without any problems, I've also had 3/4 of a bottle of beer spilt onto it and after only 2 days of been left upside down, it was working just as if nothing had happened!

Sorry I didnt say anything about the mouse, I have never used it because I use a wireless Logitech mouse which I have customised. what I can say about it though is, it looks nice, simple, and sleek.
