Good for the price

Advantages: One of the cheapest microphone available
Disadvantages: Noise reduction is slightly poor

If you're looking for a bargain price microphone for your PC I doubt you'll do better than this. With a little searching its not too difficult to find it for under £10 making it one of the cheapest mics out there. The microphone isn't that big so it shouldn't be too hard finding a place on your desk to put it and even if you can't find a space there it comes with a handy little accessory that you can use to clip it to the side of your monitor. It works perfectly well for chatting online. Whether it be Skype or online gaming, your friends certainly won't find it hard to hear you. You certainly don't need to raise your voice or even be too close to the microphone for it to pick you up. Where it falls short however is for proper voice recording. A good reliable microphone.

Advantages: Good quality, no drivers, universal, long, durable.
Disadvantages: Not great for sophisticated recording.

A very fine computer microphone that has lasted me seven years so far with no issues of compatibility, control, volume or quality. It is light, with a very sleek design. The microphone stick itself can be detached from its base and used as a hand held device but whilst it can be entirely dismantled with ease (so that it is just a mic on the end of a wire,) the stick itself is solid and cannot be manipulated, so should the user wish to physically attach it to their computer, they would probably find it necessary to manoevre themselves so that they are speaking directly into it, as well as using the provided pad for doing so,. -- Due to its lack of malleability, and absence of an earphone, it is not possible to use this product as a headset.
