Advantages: Small and affordable,simple to install. Disadvantages: Bit tricky to position
The Labtec Webcam is small and very light wieght, however it does its job well, I have had a prob or two getting it to sit still in the right position,this can be resolved easily enough using some tack/putty to hold it in place, due to its shape it is a little top heavey...mabe a suction pad could have been in-built to the base of it?
For its price approx £19.00, it does all you could ask of it, it comes with a CD rom which contains the downloadable driver *so dont lose it* ,and you can create video clips as well using it for the normal eyeball chats.It has also been useful for taking photos that can be downloaded as profile pictures on web sites, and snapping the kids near the monitor screen to send to grandma!
The focusing leaves just a little to be desired, and you do need the lighting to be right, I have found myself looking ...

Packaging
It comes in a nice, small, solid box with a picture of it on the outside.
Appearance
It is small and compact. It is silver and black with a green light which comes on when in use. It has a rubber base which means it is easy to stand.
Software
It comes with a progamme on a cd called Labtec webcam. This includes quickcapture which is a small progamme which you use to take pictures and reasonably long videos. You can also use it on windows messenging,msn and yahoo messenging from Labtec Webcam. It also has picture e-mailing which means you can send videos in emails. You can also make you own digital photo albums which makes it easier to sort out all you photos.There are other features as well including 'make your own webcam' and 'motion detector'.

If you want a webcam that is a fairly good one then I suggest you get a more cheaper one than this. This one is good but you can get better cheaper so I would recommend you get another one.
