Advantages: Very Smart and Sleek Disadvantages: Slightly Uncomfortable
This new keyboard from labtec boasts to be ultra-flat, and in that respect it certainly lives up to its name. these nifty peices of kit are only just over an inch high when sat on your desk, and they certainly to look good.
The main base of the unit is a cold silver colour that pushes the word "modern" into your head before you've even examined the thing. it's not reflective, but it's not the tacky cheap plastic you get on some products like this. The keys are a jet plack colour with thier symbols printed on in white - much easier to see that black symbols on white keys. This is a very smart looking keyboard, and just like is advertised, it certainly compliments the feel of your setup if you have a flatscreen monitor and a simillar coloured optical mouse.

My last keyboard of this type had the same problem and I thought it was just a problem with the manufacturer that I chose but I now think it is a design fault in the way wireless keyboards are built and sold. I think the problem is with the way they use the laser in the mouse and this drains too much power thus flattening the batteries very soon with use.
This is not good, and not only is it very expensive to use as they need the best types of power cells just to work at all ...
