Lacoste Touch of Pink Shower Gel

Lacoste Touch of Pink is a fragrance which was released in 2004; as well as the perfume you can also purchase Touch of Pink Shower Gel and Body Lotion to layer and compliment the fragrance of the perfume. People who have dry skin and find that the perfume doesn't have particularly good staying power on them would benefit from using the complimentary shower gel and body lotion before applying the perfume as this would gave the scent a base to layer itself upon therefore increasing the longevity of the perfume fragrance. All peoples skin types are different and perfumes, body lotions, shower gels etc act differently on each individual because of the different oils in our skin.

As the name of the fragrance suggests Lacoste Touch Of Pink Shower Gel is supplied in a bright pink coloured plastic tube which has a rather chunky white plastic flip top lid. The packaging design is rather plain and simple and doesn't have much details or design on it, basically the packaging just carries the Lacoste emblem on the front of it and states that the product is in-fact a Shower Gel. Providing the packaging is rather simply designed I actually think that it is rather eye-catching and feminine looking because of the bright pink colouring which is used.

The Shower Gel is easily dispensed from the tube by gently squeezing it until you have the desired amount. When I dispensed the Shower Gel from the tube I was immediately impressed by the consistency of it because it was really nice thick gel like substance. Most of the time when I purchase perfumed shower gels which compliment perfumes I am normally quite disappointed because they are either too think in consistency, don't leave your skin scented or they don't lather up well, some of the don't actually smell anything like the complimentary perfumes. But with Lacoste Touch of Pink Shower Gel I was impressed with everything about it and the effects it left on my skin.

The thick consistency of the shower gel meant that I didn't have to use a lot of it in order to get fully washed with. I found that a blob the size of a 50 pence piece on a sponge was a sufficient enough amount to get fully washed with. The shower gel produced a really thick, bubbly creamy lather which felt as if it was also moisturising and softening my skin as well as cleansing it. After I got fully washed and dried I noticed that my skin felt a lot smoother and softer than it did before I used the shower gel, and it was also highly fragranced. The fragrance which the shower gel left on my skin was gorgeous and quite long lasting, I would say that the fragrance lingered on my skin for approximately 4 hours or so before it gradually faded away. The scent from the shower gel also fragranced the bathroom somewhat and the aroma lingered in the air for approximately 30 minutes or so.

The scent which the Shower Gel leaves on my skin is gorgeous, it has a really light, sweet, slightly fruity aroma. The Shower Gel smells almost identical to the Touch Of Pink Perfume the only difference being is the fact that the Shower Gel has a lighter subtler aroma. The Shower Gel smells mainly of Violet, Jasmine, Vanilla, Musk and a very subtle Orange aroma. I think that the Vanilla, Violet and Orange give the fragrance its very sweet nature where as the Jasmine adds a little floral twist and the Musk adds depth and warmth to the aroma of the Shower Gel . I think that it is a very nice fragrance which is really feminine and light, and combined with the Body lotion and perfume I think that Touch Of Pink makes the perfume perfect for daytime use, especially in the summer months.

Touch Of Pink is described as having blends of Coriander, Blood Orange, Cardamom, Jasmine, Violet, Carrot Seed, Sandal Wood, Vanilla and Musk. Although not all of the fragrance notes are identifiable when using the shower gel. However when wearing the perfume nearly all of the fragrance notes are identifiable.

Lacoste Touch Of Pink Shower Gel can be bought from most perfume counters and most larger department stores such as Debenhams or Boots although the price may differ depending on where you purchase it from. A 150ml tube of Touch Of Pink Shower Gel costs £16 from Boots, although I'm sure you can purchase gift sets which have the complimentary shower gel and body lotion included. I know boots sell the Touch Of Pink Gift Set but that only includes the Body Lotion, so just have a look around for the gift set which includes the shower gel and body lotion as it works out a lot cheaper than buying them all separately.

A 150ml tube of Touch Of Pink Shower gel should last approximately three or four months if you are using it two or three times per week. However if you are only going to be using it every now and again then it will last a lot longer, once the tube of Shower Gel is opened then you have 12 months to use it before it needs to be discarded and thrown out.

I think that Lacoste Touch Of Pink Shower Gel is a great product to use as It not only cleanses your skin but it also fragrances it and leaves it feeling really smooth and soft. Even although it is a lot more expensive compared to high street branded shower gels such as Radox etc it is a product which I will continue to buy as I like the effects and the fragrance which it leaves on my skin. The fragrance of the shower gel is a lot stronger and lasts a lot longer if you layer it with the complimentary Touch Of Pink body lotion as this gives the aroma a base to layer itself upon and also makes the scent last linger and smell stronger and you have the added benefit of softer smoother skin as the body lotion also softens and moisturises your skin. If you then spray yourself with the Touch |Of Pink perfume after using the body lotion and shower gel you will notice that the fragrance of the perfume lingers on your skin for a linger amount of time and that it will smell slightly stronger.
