Fragrance Notes
Lacoste Touch Of Pink Eau De Toilette is described as having ~
Top Notes of Coriander, Blood Orange and Cardamom The top notes are the first phase of the perfume; they are usually the most volatile and evaporate from the skin very quickly. The top notes are usually very light and refreshing and their scent usually lasts for anything between five and ninety minutes.
Middle Notes of Jasmine, Violet and Carrot Seed The middle notes of a scent are therapeutic and balancing oils, sometimes the middle notes are often referred to as the heart notes of a scent. The middle notes are not always evident and can take between thirty and sixty minutes to develop on your skin, and they last for anything between two to four hours
Base Notes of Sandal Wood, Vanilla and Musk The base notes are the longest lasting notes in a fragrance, most perfumes use the same base notes. This is because they give the perfume more staying power and stop the top and middle notes from evaporating from your skin as quickly.
The Scent
As soon as Lacoste Touch Of Pink is sprayed onto your skin it has quite a strong fruity aroma; although this strong fruity aroma disperses after a few seconds and the fragrance settles down somewhat. The fragrance is still quite strong and heavy after a few minutes or so but it isn't too strong in the sense that it would give you sore head. I was actually quite surprised with the strong aroma from the perfume at first because it is an Eau De Toilette and usually these types of perfumes aren't really strong when applied at first because they have low alcohol content in them. The fruity sweet aroma from this perfume makes it a really good summer fragrance because of its sweet nature. The sweet fruity top note which you can smell as soon as you apply the perfume is Blood Orange, it has a very sweet scent; the Blood Orange is the most prominent top note and somewhat overpowers the Coriander and Cardamom, although you can identify a slight ginger note which adds a little bit of a kick to the fragrance and this is the Cardamom top note. As for the coriander you cant actually identify it as it is overpowered by the blood orange and cardamom. I think that the slight spiciness from the cardamom gives the top notes more depth and warmth and it compliments the Blood Orange perfectly.
The top notes of Touch Of Pink don't last really long before they fade and blend in with the heart notes of the fragrance. I would say that the top notes of the fragrance only last for approximately 15 minutes before they are no longer identifiable. The Blood Orange top note seems to linger for the longest amount of time compared to the cardamom; which is because the Blood Orange note is the strongest and most over powering.
The middle notes of Touch Of Pink are completely different from the fruity spicy top notes of the fragrance. The middle notes are of a sweet floral composition, even although the middle notes are mainly all floral the scent isn't too floral or cloying. I'm not particularly fond of heavy floral scents but the floral notes aren't heavy or overpowering like you may expect they have a sweet nature which gives the scent a lighter edge. The fragrance which is most evident in the middle phase of the perfume is that of Violet because it is incredibly sweet smelling. The sweet aroma from the Violet isn't sickly sweet smelling it has more if a summery, refreshing sweet nature which isn't too floral as it has more of a crisp edge to it rather than a floral one. The Violet is complimented perfectly by Jasmine as this is another sweet smelling floral note, normally I don't like fragrances with Jasmine in them because the Jasmine can be too overpowering and cloying but in this instance the Jasmine is really subtle and fresh smelling with just a slight powdery edge. I think that the powdery aroma from the Jasmine gives the scent a somewhat musky edge and more depth. The floral middle notes seem to last for a long time, I would say that the middle notes of the fragrance last for approximately 3 hours or so before they fade away.
Again after the top and middle notes of the fragrance have worn off the perfume smells completely different again. The scent changes from being floral to more of a sweet musky aroma, which is good for those who aren't particularly fond of sweet floral aromas. The base notes of the fragrance are mainly musky/sweet slightly woody tones. The musk base note is the most evident at this phase in the perfume because it has a sweet powdery aroma which is really feminine and sweet. The musk is complimented nicely with a subtle hint of Sandalwood which gives the base notes a slightly woody/rich fragrance which again adds depth to the fragrance. The musk and Sandalwood are complimented nicely with the scent of sweet Vanilla, the fragrance from the vanilla has a slightly creamy edge somewhat similar to that of Vanilla Ice Cream although it isn't as sickly sweet smelling. The base notes of Touch Of Pink seem to linger on the skin for a longer amount of time than the top and middle notes of the perfume. I would say that the base notes linger for approximately 5 hours or so before they fade away and the perfume needs reapplied again.
Perfume Information
All perfumes smell slightly different on different people, and this is due to us having different oils in our skin. The staying power of a scent also differs from person to person because we have different types of skin oils too. I said in the review that this perfume lasts for about three or four hours on me, but it could last a longer or shorter amount of time on you. People who have dry skin types will notice that perfumes don't last long on their skin. If you have dry skin and have this problem you should try layering the scent of a perfume by using the matching body lotion or shower gel before applying the perfume. By doing this you are layering the scent and applying a base for the perfume to layer itself upon, so you should notice that the fragrance will last a lot longer on your skin.
If you like the sound of this perfume then I advise that you go into your local perfume store and test it before you buy it. When testing the scent spray it onto your wrist and wear it for a few hours before you decide whether you like it or not, because the scent changes the longer you wear it due to the different notes which make up the fragrance. When testing a perfume don't smell the scent on a perfume card because it might smell lovely on the card and when you buy it and wear it at home it might smell totally different and you might not like the scent you are wearing. I made this mistake a few times in the past and wasted £30 on a fragrance which I didn't wear again and put in the bin.
Staying Power
Lacoste Touch Of Pink Eau De Toilette has relatively good staying power considering it is an Eau de Toilette fragrance. On average the perfume lingers on my skin for a good 8 hours or so before it completely fades away and needs reapplied again. I can apply a few sprays of this perfume in the morning before I got to work and I can still smell it on my skin when I return home at 5pm. I think that Touch Of pink is a really sweet smelling perfume which is most suitable to use as a casual wear perfume especially in the summer months. There is only one bad thing I can say about this perfume and that is~ don't use more that 3 sprays at any one given time because it is quite a sweet smelling perfume and less is more in this instance. Use too much of this perfume and you may risk choking the people around you with a sweet vanilla and musk aroma. I think that the perfume also smells very cheap and tacky if you use too much of it as well.
Price and Availability
Lacoste Touch of Pink Eau De Toilette is available from most large department stores such as Boots, Debenhams, Superdrug and Body Care. You can also purchase it from some online retailers too although priced may differ from place to place; so it is a good idea to have a look around and get the cheapest offer to you. As well as the Touch Of Pink Perfume you can also purchase the complimentary fragranced bath and body products which layer the scent of the perfume. People whom find that the perfume doesn't last ling on their skin would benefit from using the body lotion and shower gel before applying the perfume as this acts as a base for the perfume to layer itself upon therefore increasing the longevity of the fragrance on your skin.
The prices for Touch Of Pink Perfume and matching Bath and Body products have been taken from the Boots website.

My Opinion
I think that Lacoste Touch Of Pink is a gorgeous sweet fragrance which would suit any age as it is a nice blend of sweet/floral and musk. Personally I think that this is a very fresh vibrant fragrance which can be worn during the day. If you like fragrances such as Jean Paul Gaultier Classique or Davidoff Cool Waters then you will definitely like Lacoste Touch Of Pink because it is fairly similar to them both.

***Background***
The Lacoste brand and logo of the crocodile is well known all over the world but did you realise it was all down to a tennis player. Rene Lacoste was one of the winning European Davis Cup team way back in 1927 but it wasn't until 1933 that he joined forces with Andre Gillier to produce a sportswear line with that crocodile design on it. These days the latest tennis player to take part in their advertising campaign is the ... ...that Lacoste produce nowadays and their list includes eyewear, watches, leather goods and of course their extensive range of fragrances for both men and women.
***The Ingredients***
The notes in this fragrance are meant to represent the dynamic woman, one who is genuine and spontaneous. The top notes of this perfume are very fruity and consist of coriander leaves, blood orange and cardamom. Following on from these are the flowery tones of jasmine, ...

Touch of pink comes in a lovely vivid pink box, and the actual bottle is coloured pink....well pink at the bottom, ... ...there is the well known Lacoste logo on both the box and the bottle!!! It is a lovely vivid, bright girly design, that looks good there on your shelf!!
***THE SMELL***
The best way i can describe this scent, is that it is a light "sweet" smell. Not sickly sweet, it's just a subtle sweetness. It's a very light fragrance, not heavy at all, which makes it the perfect scent for general day use. Also really good if you don't want to choke everybody ...

...really suits me. Lacoste is probably best known for its sport products, with the famous little crocodile symbol on its sporting goods. But they have expanded very well into the fragrance market and currently have about 10 mens and womens fragrances in the fragrance market. Touch of Pink was launched in 2004, the year I first smelt it as well, and since then I have had about 4 or 5 bottles of the stuff and I am not tiring of it yet!
As you can see ... ...dressing table. It has the Lacoste crocodile above the brand name, with Touch of Pink written vertically down the centre. The box it comes in is also a bright pink with shaded white curved areas at the side, and is nice enough to keep your perfume bottle inside on your dresser if you like to hang onto the box! Overall, I think that the bottle is very impressive, with a nice slim and attractive bottle, with the clear plastic lid and bright pink atomizer ...

...perfume, I wasn't aware that Lacoste produced anything other than sports products such as their sports clothing (you know the one, with the little green crocodile on them!). After doing a little bit of research, I have found out that they actually do several fragrances, Touch of Pink being one of them. As well as selling the perfume, you can also get shower gel; roll on deodorant and the body lotion.

I normally buy a 50ml bottle which varies in price depending on where I buy it from. I have had a look in the internet and on average, this perfume costs £32 for 50ml and £41 for 90ml so unfortunately, this perfume isn't exactly what you would call cheap! Smell Of The Perfume
