I recently bought a bottle of LacostePourHomme on a whim. We were on a cross channel ferry and as we were getting a bit bored we visited the shop for a bit of a mooch around. The tempting display of perfumes and after shaves was too much for my partner to resist and before I knew it she had my shirt sleeves rolled up and a selection of after shaves and eau de toilettes sprayed at intervals from my wrist to my elbows!
Now, by this time I was getting a bit worried about how I must smell and the impression it might give our fellow passengers so in order to bring this sampling episode to a halt I decided I had to make a decision. the Aftershave itself is a very pale yellow coloured liquid inside a large clear round bottle that has a big silver metal top. After trying to pull the top off the bottle I noticed that this lid was attached to two steel hooks and I quickly realised that you had to twist it first to disengage these hooks before giving it a pull.
This fragrance comes as a spray that is applied by pressing down on a nozzle that is revealed when the lid has been removed, pressing this nozzle down releases the Aftershave in the form of a fine vapour.
It initially creates quite a cool sensation on the skin and as with most similar products it is rather sharp at first and stings for a couple of seconds before leaving your face feeling fresh and invigorated.

I first started using Givenchy pourHomme when my mother bought me a gift set from duty free on the way back from Russia about five years ago - since then I have always had a bottle of it, and most recently bought a bottle at Duty Free in Heathrow - for the knockdown price of GBP 29.99 - which for 100ml of EDT is not bad, and considerably less than I would have paid on the high street here in Vienna - although granted the stricken state of sterling helps in that respect.
As well as the EdT I have also been a regular user of the matching antiperspirant stick, which I usually pick up for around EUR 18 and have also had the deodorantspray, which costs a similar price. There is also a smaller sized bottle (30ml) available although this is not so easy to find in duty free.
