Mines 12 inches long, what's yours
Advantages: Instantly recognisable product Disadvantages: Gone downhill since Frank and Louie
...oversized takeaway food item?
Budweiser have had some of the best adverts on the TV. They've also had some remarkably normal ads which don't entertain you as much but probably put the message across better. Currently they seem to be running two campaigns. The first is pretty normal, with a couple of adverts. The first advert involves foaming bottles and shots of the pure ingredients that go into making the beer. The second extolls the beer and ends ... ...was a tad dissapointed when Budweiser introduced their next campaign. But it soon started tongues wagging (in more ways than one). Simply put - "Wazzup". The campaign had various situations of a group of friends ringing each other up, screaming "Wazzup!" down the phone and saying they were watching a game, drinking a bud - whether they were at home, or actually at the game. Simplicity itself. What Budweiser probably weren't expecting was the way ...

The drink is spot on
Advantages: refreshing Disadvantages: cost
Heineken cold filtered lager, served straight from the fridge, leave a lot to be desired. The drink is extremely refreshing and gives a crisp taste.
I prefer to drink it straight from a 275ml bottle, this prevents me from drinking too much of it (which is so easy to do!), lining the bottles up in the kitchen to give me my drink guide!
The price can be variable but I tend to buy in bulk at outlets such as Makro, or if you wait for the special offers, ... ...making it a great buy.
The adverts of this drink are all old now, and I feel it is time they came up with a new set, to get more attention towards the product. The old adverts were quite amusing, so come on Heineken, invest in a new set of comical adverts. ...

This is how to make a porno movie
Advantages: The second advert uses the usual methods of bimbos to sell the beer. Disadvantages: The first advert seems to be saying that we're all stupid.
The first of the Grosh adverts were not funny but did make sense, the second one is funny but does not make sense. Considering we’re trying to sell beer, I’m going to vote for the second.
The Bank:
A team of hard but dumb British blokes barge into a bank, all set to hold it off and escape with the cash with a flare that Guy Richie (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch) would be proud of. “Stop. What are you doing? This bank isn’t even ... ...one of the Danish contractors in the building. The point is that we, the Brits, rush in too early and spoil things. Grosh (which probably is brewed in England but shssh, don’t tell the punters that) is not bottled until its ready. This advert doesn’t work for me. I don’t like being told that I’m stupid and that someone how knows better is telling me to drink this product. Huh-uh? If anyone spoke to me with that smug tone I know just what I would ...

GOOD ONE RON
Advantages: Good idea, Gets fans of football fired up. Disadvantages: Appalling last line from Ron.
Carling have used their license for the FA Premier League as a great selling point for many years now, we're all getting used to it. What we weren't expecting was this medieval setting, or indeed such dire finishing humour - but here goes.
THE ADVERT ITSELF:
The advert shows a medieval stall where a man trys to buy some Carling with a groat. The stallman tells him he cant afford it so the guy asks what one groat will get him. The man gives him ... ...and the guy takes the Carling and begins drinking. Then the flasher arrives and asks 'got any leeches for this'. Again the man falls back, only this time he manages to drop the can and perform an overhead kick, sparking a football match to take place as the can is kicked between watching members of the village, even the armour clad knights! The men continue playing and a match of some description does begin to take shape. Then, as a man runs through ...

Ah hope it's a murdur, sur.......
Advantages: It's brilliant Disadvantages: It's for one of the most vile alcoholic beverages ever fermented
...of you who don't know, Tennent's Lager is Scotland's top selling brand of beer. Alright, it tastes bogging and is pretty damn awful stuff, but over the years some of the advertising for the product has been quite innovative and memorable. It started with the "lager lovelies", scantily-clad young fillies whose pictures adorned the rear side of the actual cans themselves (replacing piccies of various scenic locations around the world). Sales rocketed ... ...says there's no justice, eh?), Tennent's decided to move into TV advertising in a big way. Early ads included a take on Big Country's music video for the song "One Great Thing", and the "I've GoT Mine" campaign, showing just how good life could be if you were a Tennent's drinker. No mention of the loss of bodily functions after the eighth pint right enough, but still a fun series of ads.
The latest advert has to be one of the most innovative and ...
