Advantages Advantages Simple, easy and cheap to use. Tasty yoghurt, wide range of sachets/products

Disadvantages Disadvantages Must use EasiYo sachets. If they go wrong you could waste a whole sachet.

Introduction This is a review of the basic EasiYo yoghurt maker. The New Zealand-based company claims ‘no electronics – no mess – no fuss – so simple – so easy!’ While I am not attempting to review the accompanying products it’s necessary for me to make reference to some of the EasiYo sachets, as without this I could not reflect on the performance of the yoghurt maker. An Impulse Buy? We are a three adult household and, as individuals with quite individual tastes, usually have a fair selection of yoghurts in the fridge. My son enjoys freely consuming a variety of flavours from those big 450g ... more

The Easiyo yoghurt maker originates from New Zealand and was created by a man called Len Light in 1982 who wanted to find an easy way of making fresh yoghurt as he knew how good it was for his family. This was a hit in New Zealand and apparently nearly every household there now has one, it was exported to 20 different counties and they started to arrive in the UK about 5 years ago. To be good for your health and immune system yogurt must contain sufficient numbers of 'live and active lactic cultures and the fresher the yogurt, the higher the population of these. Scientific studies show that ... more

Although I've found the Easiyo yoghurt maker I wish to enthuse about under the heading Lakeland Easiyo etc. I must first point out, that much as I love Lakeland Limited this isn't exclusive to them and can be found the length and breadth of our green and pleasant land from a multitude of different sources. Originating from New Zealand where apparently half the homes in the entire country now have one of these babies, we are now lucky enough to be able to get our hands on it too and we owe our thanks to a gentleman called Len Light (just as well his first name wasn't Sun or Moon) who invented ... more

5 Stars Something This Good Is Healthy?! Review with images 21/05/2005

Advantages Advantages Absolutly gorgeous - and healthy! Suitable for lactose intolerant, diabetics...

Disadvantages Disadvantages Goes off if left warm, takes around 7 hours (i'm impatient!)

Yoghurts are great but when you have health problems, it is important to cut down on all those things that could potentially damage your health. Everyday yoghurts that can be bought in pots from supermarkets sometimes contain higher fat, increase cholesterol levels, and are not always suitable for the lactose intolerant but EasiYo is a fresh yoghurt containing 'good bacteria'. Having tried similar drinks such as Yakult and Benecol and yoghurts, I was rather sceptical about EasiYo as those drinks took a lot of getting used to. EasiYo provides two separate products - actual yoghurt and yoghurt ... more

Advantages Advantages simple to use, easy to store, easy to clean and AMAZING results. What more could I ask for?

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's easier to just buy some pots of yogurt.

This is one of, if not THE best "gadgets" I have ever used and I am so happy that my first ever Ciao! review is of this incredible product. WHAT IS EASIYO? EasiYo is a thermos style fresh, LIVE yogurt maker that consists of no moving parts and uses absolutely no power. WHAT COMES IN THE BOX? ( * ) = number of contents The main EasiYo system ( 1 ) - This is a large, white, plastic, thermos style respectful in which the yogurt will be made. The the yogurt jar ( 1 ) - This is a smoky coloured, soft plastic, large, 1kg sized jar with the large red EasiYo logo on the front and a chunky, red ... more
