"Take the little ones for a relaxing day out"

Just to update on yesterdays review on Lakemore Country Park.

Entry was £3 for adult. Child free.
Free car parking.
Charming small cafe. Indoor and outdoor seating. Views over small lake.
Reasonable prices £2.75 for a hot beef bap. Very delicious. Menu includes sandwiches, (hot and cold) and soup. Also childrens lunch box.

Baby Changing facilities. Very clean toilets. Well kept. Not sure if toilets have disabled facilities but all are on the ground floor.

Short walks to see the animals over grassy paths and gravel paths. Not too muddy because it was dry but take wellies if wet.
My buggy was sometimes very hard to push over some gravelly areas because of the small wheels, however, my friends buggy had no problem.

Lots of animals to visit outside including goats, donkeys, pigs, sheep, chickens, peacocks, birds and Lamas. All seemed very happy with lots of room.

Indoor and outdoor play areas. Outdoor area suited to older children although my little boy had great fun on the slide and so did I. Outdoor area included slide, climbing frame, wobbly bridge over wood chips.

Indoor play area consisted of large sand pit area with lots of toys, two wendy houses, climbing frames and slides for toddlers up to the age of four and lots of trikes, bikes and cars to push and sit in. Also a small ball pit/climbing gym and a small box with books to read.

This place needs people to visit it to keep it going. Unfortunately it is not well sign posted and they do not have a website but if you take the A534 from Sandbach to Crewe heading southwest to Crewe, go over the wheelock roundabout. Take the second turning on your right which is Clay Road. It has a small sign on the right that says Lakemore fisheries. Go down Clay Road, pass the bed and breakfast on right, pass the fisheries on right, keep going and the next thing on your right is the Lakemore Country Park.

Suitable for toddlers, pre-schoolers, up to the age of six. Perfect for birthday parties.
