    4 Stars L-amazing Toy! 31/12/2011
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Very well designed, stimulating toy with lots of different textures and features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Supposed to be surface wash only, my son lost interest quite quickly

I'd barely heard of the Lamaze range when my oldest two boys were little but by the time I had my youngest son sixteen months ago, they seemed to be all the range. No self-respecting newborn baby seemed to be without a bright and colourful toy from Lamaze's extensive 'Play and Grow' range! Not wanting to miss out, I decided that Santa should bring Freddie the Firefly as a gift for my little one's very first Christmas. I paid just under £6 from Amazon at the time, with the price fluctuating anywhere between the £5-£10 mark. I think the price offers very good value, as the sports the Lamaze ... more

4 Stars When Freddy met Freddie Review with images 16/07/2010
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Loads of stimulating activites, clip to attach to cot, buggy, etc

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not machine washable

I’ll readily admit that 15 week old Freddy is rather spoilt, he already has plenty of toys, but when I saw Freddie the Firefly I couldn’t resist. After all, just the fact it shares my special little man’s name made it tempting enough, and then it looked so much fun and I’d just received some Amazon vouchers, and you know how it is. Play And Grow Freddie (not to be confused with Freddy) is part of the Lamaze Grow And Learn range of toys. Now I’ll freely admit that I hadn’t even heard of this range of toys until very recently, with them only coming to my notice after reading reviews on various ... more

Advantages Advantages a great colourful toy with plenty to look, touch and hear.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

When my son was born 10 weeks ago, i really struggled to find him presents for christmas. Toys were too big and clothes would only last weeks. A good friend of ours bought him the Lamaze butterfly, a colourful soft toy around 7 inchs long with big wings that have many activities and stimulation aids for children on. On the butterflies head there is a large white clip which can be attatched to a pushchair, car seat or cot bars. (this works better though if you have those spare links to extend it) On the wings there are various activities for children to play with, textures to touch and sounds ... more

I love Lamaze! Everytime I go to Tesco or Toys-R-Us, my daughter seems to gain a new one. I bought Freddie the Firefly (or FlyFly as we call him) a couple of months ago from Tesco, I cant remember the exact price but I think it was about £8.00. I'd say it was one of their medium-large toys and is extremely colourful! Ours is a little different from the stock photo attached to this review (only small differences in colour). The main body part is made up of 5 different coloured sections, leading down to a purple tail with red and orange rings attached. It also has 6 brown 'legs' attached with ... more

Advantages Advantages Great for stimulating baby, easy clean, value for money

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing

I hadn't heard of Lamaze toys when we had our first son, indeed they may not have been quite so popular seven years ago. However, with our youngest son being only just over a month old, we have been given a few Lamaze toys as presents for him, including this one, Freddie the Firefly.Although not much smaller than our son itself, the firefly is quite the perfect little stimulator to put in his moses basket with him, although we wouldn't really like to leave it in there with him unsupervised. It's very colourful, uses plenty of different fabrics and has a wide range of sounds and visual effects ... more
