the middle of rebuilding my Vega at the moment so i will up date top speed when rebuilt.
They have a front fork set up similar to that of the scooters like the G.P range.
Unlike todays scooter's & mopeds they were made from steel & did not have loads of plastic all over them,so they are more prone to rust.
If you get a puncture with the Vega like most Lambretta's its so easy to repair as the wheels come apart in 2 halves by undoing bolts on the hubs, [but this should never be attemped with air inside the tyre as they will fly apart from the pressure causing injury!]
They were very popular in the late 60's early 70's & were aimed at the modern lady but sadly Lambretta stopped making them in 1970. ...

Advantages: Good in his prime Disadvantages: Fortunate to always have good cars
Good Old Wonder Nige! He was everyones hero during the 1980's. Always the Bridesmaid but never the Bride was the best statement I ever heard about this man.
The Moustachio man from the Isle of Man, joined the Formula 1 Circus in 1980, driving for the infamous Colin Chapman and team Lotus.
This was an inspired move by Chapman who realised his days as a Formula One leader were slipping by.
It took Nigel 4 years of trying with the Lotus and along the way scoring a couple of podiums and a Pole Position in Dallas, before his talents were spotted by a team worthy of him and he signed for the powerful Williams Honda Team.
