Lambrusco is Italian and available in 8% Vol and 4% Vol I prefer the 8% but its a pound more expensive, than the 4 %, from Bottoms Up our biggest and best off licence. I like this wine because at £2.99 a bottle its cheap and cheerful and great for any occasion.
At a price that anyone can afford to try it, I suggest that next time you are looking for a bottle of wine you pick this up and try it.
Lambrusco is the name of the grape grown in Italy, and they make white and red wines as well as Rose. I have also tried the white and red but prefer the Rose.
I have seen this in most Supermarkets and off licences.
Thanks for reading and if you try it let me know what you think of it by leaving a message in my guestbook.
**UPDATE**
It has been pointed out to me that I should mention where this wine comes from,a part form the off licence or supermarket, so I will tel you it is produced by I.W.C. Modena Italy and the version that I drink is actually called Sansovino Lambrusco dell'Emilia Rosato to give it its full name and according to the bottle its "a speciallity of Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, Lambrusco is prduced exculsively from the local red grape variety of the same name."
Advantages: Tastes nice, cheap and cheerful Disadvantages: It's not pop.
The first time I tried Lambrusco Rose my friend brought a bottle round to the flat one night. I had, had the white Lambrusco, but never the rose so was quite eager to try it. The first time I tasted it I thought wow it tastes remarkably like ribena. It was very sweet, but not unpleasant. When drinking the smell really was distinct. It had a really sweet smell or (nose) as the experts say! I've always liked lambrusco anyway. It’s been one of my favourite ... ...I must have stuck with Lambrusco for about 10 years or so. It also seems to go well with anything. From meat, poultry, fish and vegetables.
The figures below tell you a little more about this wine, where it is from and the alcohol content. Grape: 100 % Lambrusco Country: ITALY Region: Emilia-Romagna Colour: Rosé Alcohol Content: 4% (please note the wine is also available in 8%)
Lambrusco Rose is a medium sweet wine or so it says I actually think ...

Advantages: Low cost, low cal, drinkable Disadvantages: Expect comments including words such as 'dirty', ''filth' and 'cheap'
Being a student, and therefore very poor, yet with a certain disposition towards excessive alcohol consumption (maybe the two are linked?!), me and my girlfriends are often drawn to what is considered a low-class version of wine. While this 'stereo-type may be true, i dont consider it a negative. Lambrusco is only £1.99 a bottle, i challenge anyone to find the same amount of alcohol for a better price anywhere in England, (if you do, DEFINITELY let ... ...you can convince yourself that its ok to have that dirty kebab at the end of the night, because you saved on calories in your drinks!
It so easy to drink, in fact it pretty much tastes like a glass of lemonade with a splash of wine in it. Alcohol content is 5.5% so just enough to get you 'jolly', and well on the way to plain drunk if you have enough of it, but not so lethal that you'll be waking up in a random hedge somewhere.
If your looking for ...

Advantages: Great Value! Disadvantages: Better not drink too much
Lambrusco Rose Light (semi-sparkling) produced in Italy is made from partially fermented grape must.
It is ideal for ALL occasions, I have been drinking the Lambrusco range for many years because of its good value and great taste.
My Advantages of this product are:
1. It is very cheap you can buy 700ml for about £1.50 or a 1.5litre for about £2.99.
2.Low in alchol (for a wine only 4%)
3. Tastes great, its just as well it is cheap or I know id ... ...and therefore pleases most people I would tend to say (from my experiences).
When I were younger and I used to go out clubbing I used to take a bottle with me before I went into a club, me and my freind would sit on the sea front and just drink Lambrusco, because we would save on the drinks in the club if we had already been drinking.
(Just thought I would share my experience there!)
Well what else can I say, is there anything else you can ask ...

Advantages: very cheap, tastes good Disadvantages: a bit to easy to drink
I am not a big wine lover, in fact, I hate it, so I was very reluctant to try Lambrusco - thinking it would leave me with the usual nasty taste in my mouth. However, I was wrong to be sceptical as Lambrusco tastes like your average fizzy drink. This is probably what makes it so dangerous for me to drink - I become unaware of how much alcohol I've consumed!
My personal best thing about the product - £1.99 for a small bottle, you can't go wrong. I ... ...the younger adult drinking community - me and my friends find it ideal to have just before a night out. The alcohol contentis 5.5% which is again ideal - not too much that you instantly feel drunk, but at the same time it's enough to get you sufficiently warmed up for a good old night out.
The best way to describe the taste is a fruity drink with a bit of a tang to it (the alcohol I presume?!) The label on Sainsbury's Lambrusco states, 'partially ...

Advantages: Very light, fruity and sweet Disadvantages: none
The thought of Lambrusco immediately brings be back to my late teens when I started drinking and going out. I can remember all of my frineds coming over to my parents house and we would then open a bottle of Lambrusco. Until recently I had not bought a bottle of Lambrusco because it reminded me of my adolescent years. However, I was in the supermarket one evening and saw an offer on a bottle of Lambrusco and decided that as it was such a bargain ... ...To be totally honest with you I was very pleasanly surprised. I bought the 4% vol. wine but it the wine was available in 8% vol. as well. The wine was in a screw top bottle- which, in my opinion is very handy because if you don't finish a bottle in one night you can easliy screw the top back on and save it for another night. The wine was a bit fizzy so went down very fast and easy! The flavour was very light and fruity. In my opinion I'd say the ...
