one of the best cars ive bought, the delta hf turbo ie has performance and refinement to match, benefiting from lancias long illustrious involment in the world of motorsports in the early 1990's the hf stands for high fedelity. its got 140 bhp which isnt bad for a 1600 cc engine, which has a double overhead camshaft power unit with electronic fuel injection and turbocharging systems, making it do at least 130 mph, 0-60 in about 8 secs. rally bred ...

Dedra Turbo - a classic drivers car

Advantages: performance, handling, experience of driving, cost to buy
Disadvantages: age, fuel economy

I have a Dedra Turbo. After a number of fast cars including a VW VR6, Cittoen 16V, Delta turbo, Peugot GTi etc and loads of other less rapid cars I would have to say that the Dedra is easily the most fun car I have ever had (and my favourite). The turbo charger is extraordinary, when unleashed it gives a rush of acceleration which is just fabulous. The handling and cornering is very sharp. Downsides are maintenance - these are now old and therefore probably should not be used as a main car if you're going to be doing loads of miles. There is turbo lag, & tork steer but these are actually quite fun and part of the experience. Fuel economy is not great if you drive it hard, which is pretty impossible to avoid - see communication above! Overall I would strongly recomment these cars. ...

Great super mini undervalued

Advantages: Good fun
Disadvantages: Fuel bills

Lancia have created an exciting little car that nobody has heard of. The Dedra Turbo is a cheap, fast and fun car. The handling is extremely good although the car is a family saloon. It can be driven very hard without seeming to break a sweat. The engine is blessed with two counter balancing shafts, making it a very smooth powerplant which revs very freely up to 7000rpm. Turbo boost is aggressive and adds to the exitement but the suspension is gentle ...
...is smooth and comfortable and the cabin space is great too. Long legged passengers are easily accomodated in the rear. With an electric pack that includes heated front seats and 4 electric windows and sunroof, this car is great value for money. I've owned mine for 5 months and spent nothing on it.
