Lancia - il campione dell' automobile di raduno Lancia - the rally car champion
An Italian sports car with plenty of grit. Well, thats the interale version - mine? A 1.3 twin carb version - oh not as quick but still loads of balls. Don't be fooled, this baby can beat most XR3i s of the starting block - even the odd RS Turbo.
It has a huge tank that will cost you £40 to fill although this will only last you a few miles as the Delta is a thirsty 1.3 litre monster!
The main things to watch if you are thinking of buying one:
1. Look out for rust. This are well known for theri rusting abilities! Especially look at the door hing areas.
2. Only get one if you can afford the insure - its a class 10
3. Don't get one if your under 25 as some insurance companies will class this car as a spoets car even though it only has a top speed of 100 mph.
4. Parts are expensive.
5. Lastly, check the exhaust - Lancias have a generic exhaust felx joint problem - its easy fixed so long as the manifold hasn't been damaged. There are a few good 1.3's left out there - most are the HP turbo models. Don't buy anything older than a G reg - it'll cost you unless you plan to restore it.
