Ok people listen up...forget the fact that this is Italian...and then forget that old crappy Delta or Alfasud you used to own that made you remortgage your house and sell your kids into slave labour.
Lancia is back...and they intend to stay here for a little while longer. Back in 1994...i know...memory a little clouded from too many bad italian cars in my ownership Lancia regrettably pulled out of this country dueto dismall sales and never recovering from the early 80s when lets face it...they were crap.
Now...look at Alfa...going from strength to strength...well Lancia are right behind them. Ok..we all know that the elicticals can be dodgy...ok...lets be totaly honest...they are worse than dodgy. But Lancia believe it or not are one of the top sellers in europe...they have acheived this by a complete management restructure.
This car...is a replacement for what was the old Y10...a bag of spanners if there ever was one. Now...do you know that the fiat cinquecento uses the floorpan of the old Y10???..well there you go...you do now. You see Fiat and Lancia are 1 and who else do Fiat own??...thats right...Alfa Romeo and Ferrari.
So now you see...I'm not going to bore you with standard specs and optional extras...all new cars are the same these days...but the new Y is a veritable little racer. This car is easily more attractive...better handling...cost efficient than any of its rivals...why do you not know this...thats because the motoring industry as a whole is biased to the Companies that pay them the most money!
Lancia are strong...well built...and more importantly...no longer rust...and if your in the market for a small car...look no further...I am biased ok...a member of the Lancia owners club and petitioner for Lancoia to get back in the UK.
Any main Fiat dealer will be able to obtain a car for you to be able to test drive...and if you fancy saving a few quid...go to france or italy and drive one home and save yourself about £4000...not small change you will agree.
If anybody is interested I'm selling my Y 1.2 LS Blue.
You can view details on the www.auto-italia.co.uk web site.
The car is a personal import (meaning I owned it in Italy and then moved to England).

I would have liked to learn a little more about the car.

Nice refreshing writing style, a few more facts wouldn't go amiss though. I also doubt any main Fiat dealer would be able to offer a test drive, I can already visualise the blank looks I would get !
