Johnsons Holiday Skin Body Lotion
I am reviewing this product in Fair to Medium Skin.
Johnson's Holiday Skin Body Lotion comes in a tall yellow bottle with blue writing on it. The bottle contains 250ml. It has lasted me about three months so far; I have used it about fifteen times and I am almost running out.
It claims to 'gradually build a beautiful light tan'.
My skin is pale and I burn easily in the sun.
When and why I bought Johnsons Holiday Skin Body Lotion
I bought Johnsons Holiday Skin Body Lotion from my local village shop. It was about three/four months ago and just coming up to Summer and I wanted a tan (I have pale skin and burn easily in the sun). When I saw the bottle I thought I'd give it a go. My sister and a friend both have the same body lotion and I'd heard them talk about the lovely smell ...
Advantages: It would probably last around 5-6 months. Disadvantages: Strong smell, irritated and stripped my skin
I purchased this product from QVC as part of a kit which also included the cleansing gel and a sample of hydra floral moisturising cream (£35.00 + p&p). I have combination skin with an oily t-zone. It was a couple of years ago when I became ill and saw the affects which this was having on my skin. I decided I wanted to take my skincare seriously and protect it as much as possible from medication. So I tried this product. It was recommended for people who suffered from breakouts, open pores, etc so I thought I'd give it go. Thank goodness for qvc. I was able to return this product for a full refund, but unfortunately lost out on my p&p. The matifying lotion (toner) had a strong smell. It said to apply a few drops to a cotton wool pad and wipe over the skin after using the cleansing gel. I noticed after a day or so of using this product ...
I bought this to deal with the skin on my legs which has become increasingly dry of late (well, that's what happens when you neglect to use a proper skincare regimen through the harsh winter months!). The main reason I chose this particular lotion was the fact that it was so cheap at only £1.95 for a 300ml bottle.
The lotion comes in a transparent bottle which makes it easy to see exactly how much you have left, with a pump-action dispenser on top. I find this type of dispenser much more convenient than the usual squeezy bottles, as it gives a controlled amount so you don't end up with too much lotion that will take forever to sink into your skin. I personally find that pressing the top once gives me just the right amount to cover one leg from ankle to knee.
Boots say that this lotion is formulated with natural extracts of cocoa ...
