I am on an eternal quest for the perfect mascara - one that lengthens, thickens and curls my eyelashes with no clumping and not too expensive. Of course there are many mascaras that claim to do so, but so far I've been disappointed. I have the straightest eyelashes in existence. Right now, I apply whatever mascara I pluck out of my mascara drawer (yes I have a drawer full of mascaras!), curl my eyelashes, then apply another coat of mascara and curl them again, which is a lot of hassle just for curly eyelashes! It killed me to buy Lancome Definicils. At £15, it doesn't come cheap, but that wasn't the only reason. Do you know how intimidating it is to walk up to a beauty counter and try to conduct a conversation with a St-Tropezed, overly made-up beauty assistant? Lancome Definicil

Advantages: Non irritating, good quality, gives lustrous lashes
Disadvantages: None

As someone who is often irritated by mascara i found Lancome Definicils to be a perfect choice for me. It is easily applied with a thin brush that does not get clogged up, is suitable for contact lens wearers and people with sensitive eyes. I use this product every day and would definitely recommend it particularly if you have found other mascaras to irritate. Noir Infini is a strong black that makes your lashes look long, lustrous and separated. It is a good quality product that you would expect being made by Lancome and as always in sleek sexy packaging. I have tried other mascaras but I think Lancome Definicils is a reasonable price at £20.50 although you can probably get it for cheaper if you look on ebay. ...

Beauty is Definicils all around your eye

Advantages: smart packaging, nice colour, no clumpage.
Disadvantages: price.

Mascara was created in 1913 by a chemist called T.L. Williams. As the story goes, his sister’s boyfriend, Chet, was in love with another woman and Williams made the concoction of Vaseline and coal dust to win him back. This was the first mascara (although I have read somewhere that it was worn as an evil-eye antidote by the Ancient Egyptians!) Later in 1915, Williams founded the company Maybelline (a combination of his sister’s name ‘Mabel’ and Vaseline). However, the first is not always the best and Lancôme Definicils is proof of this. Available in green, khaki, brown, blue, grey and black, it claims to “lengthen and separate your eyelashes beautifully while smoothing and repairing their full length” (www.Lancôme.com).
