I had my friend over before a night out and she brought along this Lancome flashtanning mousse, it was really great and quick to use, so I thought, hell..Ill treat myself. I found a cheaper deal on Cheapsmells.com for £12.95, but when it arrived I realised it wasnt the product I thought it was, but the airbrush one instead. Nevertheless I decided to give it a go a on the tuesday night before plans to go out on the saturday night. And arent I glad i planned in advance!
The can is really easy to use I must admit, the only problem is that its colourless whilst spraying so I didnt have much of an idea where I had/ hadn't covered. It took a few hours to dry so I locked myself in my room for the rest of the night. Bearing in mind i was only testing it out, so i didnt spray my back or cover the insides of my arms very well. I was gutted that a few hours down the line there was no sign of change on my milk-white legs so I decided to call it a night.
The next morning was hilarious, i woke to bright tangerine hands...i forgot to scrub them clean after applying the tan! Biiiig mistake, please remember to wash them thoroughly!! But I wont lie to you, the colour was lovely. It didnt have to much of an orange tint to it, and it did look like a good strong holiday tan. My legs, neck, shoulders and chest were nice and even and looked fab...but the act that i was too lazy to do the insides of my arms and back ruined the overall effect of it :( I couldnt bare the state of my rediculous palms so i spent the day drowned in a hoody. Its now wednesday night and Ive had to re-apply the tan to my white patches, and hope tomorrow that its all over and even!
I plan on moisturising and showering often just to help the process of fading to a more natural shade. With the orange hand problem, I found that a good scrub with lemon juice and a plumice really helps, I think using thin rubber gloves similar to hair dye ones will help with avoiding the situation again!
Im happy with the amount I payed for the product, it comes out lovely and is easy to use on all areas as long as you take your time, do it properly and SCRUB YOUR HANDS!
