Lancome Juicy Tubes cost around £11.50 which you may think is expensive for a lip gloss, but it is actually pretty cheap considering the amount of gloss that you get in a tube - you get 15ml.
The packaging is a clear plastic squeezable tube. When you twist off the lid, you will find a slanted plastic applicator, with a small hole in the centre. To apply the gloss, you squeeze the tube gently so that the product comes out through the hole. You can then apply the gloss to the lips straight from the tube (the slanted applicator makes this easy), or you can apply the gloss to a lipbrush and apply to your lips from that if you prefer. Personally, I find applying the gloss straight from the tube to the lips to be the easiest. The packaging is hygienic, as the tube doesn't have a wand that you have to dip in and out like some glosses have.
The gloss itself is quite gloopy and sticky, but this means that it has quite good staying power (for a gloss!). If you have long hair, it will stick to your lips while you are wearing Juicy Tubes! (unless you tie it back!). I find that my lips feel moisturised while I am wearing Juicy Tubes- a plus. Juicy Tubes give a very glossy look to the lips.
Juicy Tubes come in all different colours and flavours. There are loads to choose from, however most of them go on almost clear - good if you like clear gloss, or just a hint of colour, but not good if you like a lot of colour. A few have more colour, but personally the colours of these ones don't really appeal to me. Most Juicy Tubes contain some glitter - some more than others. There are only a couple that I know of that contain no glitter. I'm pretty sure that there is a Juicy Tube out there to suit everyone though! I love the flavours/scents of the Juicy Tubes that I have owned. Each one smells different - quite a few of the Juicy Tubes are fruit flavoured. My favourite smell has to be 'Orange'...yum! I definitely wouldn't recommend them if you don't like scented lip products though (as I know some people don't).
Some of the ones that I have owned are:
Melon - a lovely sheer pinky colour with no glitter.
Fraise - a more pigmented pinky-red colour with lots of small particles of glitter. This was too bright for me.
Orange - smells delicious, goes on almost clear and contains some glitter.
Violette - goes on almost clear, contains a tiny amount of glitter.
Framboise - a lovely smelling gloss. Adds a subtle hint of pink to the lips and contains some glitter.
Overall, I recommend everyone to go out and buy at least one juicy tube - they're great!
