Personal Experience: I have quite dry flaky skin and have been using Oil of Olay for sometime. Unfortunately I couldn't get rid of the dryness and flakiness around my facial T-zone. A friend recommended trying Lancome, so away I went to Boot's lancome counter for advice. The sales girl was really pleasant and helped me choose the moisturiser which she thought would be best suited for my facial type.
Product type: Lancome Hydra Zen Destressing Facial moisturiser For Normal to Dry skin. There is also Hydra Zen for really dry skin. So do make sure you get the right one for your skin.
There are other Lancome facial moisturisers for dry skin such as Nutrimoist. So have a look yourself at the Boots website or pop down to their counter for advice.
Price: £27.50 Since I bought mine around christmas, the price included a gift set of a facial mask, eye cream and a perfume.
Packaging: Comes in a 50 ml white pot. Easy screw on, screw off top.
Advantages:
Feels really great on the skin. My face feels softer since I started using this product. The dryness and flakiness have actually reduced. I could see the difference myself.
It smells great.
It absorbs into your skin quickly. No oily feeling to skin after putting it on.
You can put on your make up straight after.
Ideal for day use. Use on normal to dry skin.
Disadvatages:
Expensive.
I find I have to use quite a bit of the cream each time to cover my face. So it looks like I'm gonna have to buy a bottle a month by the looks of it. Which of course at the price of £27.50 a month is a lot of money for the average person to be spending on facial cream.
Conclusion: Quality product. On the expensive side. But I suppose sometimes you do have to fork up that extra bit for quality. I would recommend it to my friends.
