Now, if you have read my some of my travel opinions you will be well aware that I like to travel. I am therefore always on the look out for a decent self-tan as I do not like to use sun beds. I recently saw on the net, an advert for Lancôme’s website so with the lure of a free sample or two I went to investigate. Surprise, surprise a free 5mls sample of Lancôme New Soleil Flash Bronzer Face Cream (golden) was being offered. I hate looking pale and pasty, so this sample was put to good use, as I have very pale skin. I just had to have one. Well the sample was free!
I filled in the registration form and waited for the postman to arrive. Within a couple of days my free sample dropped on to the doormat and I hurried up to the bathroom to try it on my face. (Well as fast as I could on crutches).
**How to Use**
1) The lotion is easy to apply to the face.
2) It goes on evenly, without those heavy lines that some self-tanners leave.
3) It dries easily and acts quickly. (By quickly, I mean that the tanning effects are noticeable on the skin within an hour and it is quite natural too).
A radiant glow is the order of the day. The Soleil Flash Bronzer, contains hydrating agents along with pure Vitamin E to help to ‘preserve skins beauty’ according to Lancôme. The skin gets a mild, sun-kissed glow effect after using this product. One word of warning this range of products does NOT contain Sun Protection Factor.

**Cost**
This is product is not cheapest self tanning product on the market and not altogether the best either. A 50mls bottle costs around £20.00 from my local beauty salon and comes in golden and bronze. They are available in Debenhams, John Lewis, Selfridges and many beauty salons.
I have invested in a bottle, as I am not sure what the British weather will have in store this summer, so at least I will not look pasty white, however if you sell a stripy woman on crutches, say hello as it is probably me! The sample has lasted on my skin for a good ten days, but it does not really beat the real thing. (That reminds me I am have a month in Tenerife in April. Now then I will get the real tan).
NB Remember to wash hand after application of Lancôme New Soleil Flash Bronzer Face Cream, that is unless you want golden palms too!

A far safer way of getting a tan! I just wonder if it would look right on a baldie? LOL

Safer advice than using sun-beds - I know the cost may be high - but the risks of using sun-beds far outweigh any costs associated with such products, as unfortunately we can vouch for in this household.

Much safer than a real tan for those of us who burn easily. Fiona
