My clear skin?!
Advantages: Full coverage, doesn't dry out my skin, don't need to retouch throughout the day Disadvantages: Pricey and comes in the form of a pump [not my personal preference]

I was absolutely astonished with this foundation.
I bought it as a bit of an impulse, as I always have a weak spot for buying new make up and it is the best foundation I have ever bought.

As usual I race home to remove my current make up and apply my new one.
The Packaging: It comes in a pretty silver box with black writing and a rose on and the shade number/name on the top and bottom.
The Bottle: The bottle is a glass one as pictured with a black top and writing down the front. No where on the bottle does it say the shade however on the back the shade number is printed on. (e.g. it may say 010 which is porcelain) The bottle itself is a pump. And holds 30ml of product.
So it took around 3 pumpfuls to get an even amount on my face. It had a slightly thicker texture than a liquid, it was a little more difficult to smooth but it didn't set too quickly.
A dot on each cheek, one on my chin, one on my forehead and upper lip, and then I evened the dots out. I couldn't believe it, the strong orange look I usually get due to my pale skin wasn't there, it was even, no tideline even though I hadn't done a considerable amount of blending.
Although when I stepped outside and it rained I was wary, but wanted to test this oh-so-wonderful "retouch free" policy. So after walking around a mile to the bus stop in rain, you can imagine how amazed I was when I realised my foundation was still there and hadn't "slid" one bit. Around 6 hours later my foundation was still immaculate and when it came to bedtime it was extremely easy to remove with your average baby/facewipes.
Overall I'd recommend this to anyone who wants an even/clear looking complexion, a hassle free foundation and no dried out skin!
I suspect that the bottle will last me around 2-3 months however once it runs out I will update this and say how long.
Edit: The bottle lasted me around 2 months with everyday use, and now I still have a little bit left to just dab on as a concealer! The shade I originally bought was a little orange after a while, and yet so ironically so was the shade down! However this can be controlled with a paler powder. Ah well, the search continues!
A little expensive but in my opinion well worth it. I'd rather spend £24 on one decent bottle than 4 wasted bottles.
Edit: I forgot to mention, it is a matt finish foundation.
Advantages: Lasts a long time, doesn't dry your skin out too much, quite light. Disadvantages: Coverage not the best.
...for a similar price.
Lancome Teint Idole cost me £22 off the Boots website. I chose it as it told me it was 'retouch free', 'comfort make-up' with a great coverage. It was also the only expensive foundation I could find that was actually a liquid.
It arrived a few days later in a posh little box and on taking out the 30ml bottle, it certainly looked impressive in its thick glass container and black lid. It has a little pump, which is popular nowadays, ... ...recently have been using the Lancome in the day and the Estee Lauder by night.
It has great durability - once it's on, it doesn't budge. And for a 30ml bottle, it goes a long way - you don't need that much each use and so far my bottle has lasted a couple of months and it's probably just starting to run out. It's not bad value for money, but in my reckoning it should maybe be a few pounds cheaper.
The bottle says its 14hour touch-free, which is ...

Advantages: stays on well Disadvantages: I found it too dry
This is a nice product. I decided to give it a try after reading the reviews on it and found that they were all good. At this point I was wearing a cheaper chemist bought foundation that was not giving a very good coverage. I went to the counter and the assistant assessed my skin and gave me a complete makeover and advice on what best moisturiser etc to use with the foundation. On trying out the foundation I found that although it does give a good ... ...if you do not blend it in immediately it can end up a bit patchy. Having said this, I do suffer from a dry patches of skin which may react badly with some foundations.
Once you get it right, the cover is good and it is long lasting. However, I would not recommend it for those with very dry skins.
I do not think I would buy this foundation again as it does not really suit my skin, but would agree with other reviews that it is a good quality product. ...

...light enough tone, I found Lancome Teint Idole. All the feedback I had read about it was very positive so I decided to try it out. I went to Boots to get it, where I got to try it on before buying it. I instantly saw I liked it and it was exactly what I was looking for. The foundation fluid being of a slightly thicker texture giving my skin a smooth and even finish, with an excellent coverage. I have tried out several foundations since my discovery ... ...it. It also lasts for quite a long time making it worth the money.
*With this foundation you have to work fast as it dries instantly. Make sure you use moisturizer before applying the foundation, if not, the result might end up patchy. It suits most skin types, but with dry skin you should mix it with some moisturizer. ...

Advantages: Long wearing Disadvantages: Feels slightly oily
I purchased this as a replacement for my now obsolete, much beloved L'oreal Quickstick (which was a replacement for the ver expensive much beloved LancomeTeintIdole). I spent quite a while in Boots testing out foundations before i found this one. Its nowhere near the L'oreal, but is has a few similar features which i liked enough to purchase it.
Firstly though, I will touch on the colour. A few other reviewers have mentioned it. All of the colours look pretty wrong, darker than they should be. Im generally and Ivory or Buff, so i automatically selected the Ivory (001) in this foundation. It looks dark on my hand, but blends nicely on my face. I am always careful not to leave a demarkation line (aka, the egde of your face), so this isnt an issue.
The product comes in a 30ml tube. This is actually an ample amount of foundation ...
