    Advantages Advantages Award winning

    Disadvantages Disadvantages technical hitches

With its high profile adverts set as playful animals on the African Plains, the Freelander has enjoyed a very modern and fun filled birth into the lives of many Land Rove owners. True, it is a very nice looking, if somewhat sporty car, that looks like its built to go "offroad" in some ferocious conditions. Yet it is its urban life that seems to let it down. Built at Solihull, The Freelander has enjoyed a big sale on the worldwide market. In fact it is one of the more popular export models at present. With its hybrid looks between offroader and car, it appeals to many type of people. in fact ... more

Advantages Advantages Style performance and reliability

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

The Landrover Freelander; forget recent press about reliability and forget the softroader tag. Ford have sorted this Landrover once and for all. What about it's off road ability. With electronic traction ... more

the small six cylinder engine feels very much underpowered. Air conditioning was made for drives in cool climates, heating also is super marginal. The inside ergonomics are quite good and visibility is absolutely excellent. The brakes must come possibly from a toy car as after only 19000 km new discs and rotors were needed and this is not impressive at all. Storage space is excellent. Average Fuel consumption is relatively high for such a weak engine. The seats are rather comfortable and good. Service seems expensive. The vehicle has prestige and green is a very nice colour to order. The plastic in ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice to drive and nice to look at

    Disadvantages Disadvantages always goes wrong!

Before i begin, i would just like to say how much i love/loved this car. However, my love affair if very quickly going downhill, without the aid of of the descent button! It's very nippy, gets me to where i need to go in style and comfort, leaves most people behind at the lights! looks great in the summer with the roof off, and has lots of room for luggage or trips to that well known flat packed furniture store! However... Within the first year of purchase, i started to notice a pink liquid dripping on my shoe when i drove downhill. After a trip to the garage, i was told it needed a new ... more
