When the price is Right
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook 6510b - Core 2 Duo T7250 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by 666Nemesis666

Advantages: Authentic businesslike looks, lots of inbuilt luxuries, relatively large screen, large memory.
Disadvantages: Over-priced, low graphics capabilities.

Compact and neatly organized (Dimensions: 33.1 cm x 24.3 cm x 3.4 cm) it is excellent for both home use and professional or business work. The keyboard is of standard size, although the 14" TFT screen also supports wide screen (with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800). The portability is superb, with a relatively low weight of 2.4 kg for a laptop with this screen size the exterior is of a classically 'businesslike' design and looks comfortable in ...
...GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm hard drive makes for an impressive amount of disk storage and allows for a large 1GB of RAM. The Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 / 1.8 GHz ( Dual-Core ) processor used also means that this laptop is of impressive speed and power - however, I do find the noise of the processor's cooling fan annoying at times. This laptop however is not built for gaming with only an Intel GMA X3100 graphics card, watching movies or online video ... Read review

A tablet PC at an easy to swallow pricepoint.
Review of HP Pavilion tx2130ea Entertainment - Turion 64 X2 TL-60 - 12.1" TFT by Englebert_Fliegenende

Advantages: Cheapest tablet PC by far, feature packed, HP quality & support.
Disadvantages: Keyboard delicate. HDD slow. Vista.

For the price, this is a very nice piece of kit overall. The touchscreen works with the stylus or a finger, which is unusual for a tablet. The unit feels reasonably robust, with the exception of the keyboard, which is not brilliant. Losing a key is way too easy, while reattaching the key when you find it is way too hard. The hinge & pivot mechanism of the screen feel nice & solid. The back of the screen (top of the closed unit) feels like it gives ...
...from Staples and shipped both with a 4 and a 6cell battery, the latter making the laptop rise at the rear - good in keyboard mode, a bit awkward in tablet mode. Nonetheless handy for being able to travel without the power brick. The multimedia features are good (both HP's Quickplay and MS Media Center), with a nice front end and an IR remote, which is a bit fiddly, but stows away nicely in the expresscard slot when not in use. The speakers are of ... Read review

A tablet pc at an affordable price
Review of HP Pavilion tx2050ea Entertainment - Turion 64 X2 TL-60 - 12.1" TFT by jupiter28

Advantages: many features, stylish looking, cheap price
Disadvantages: windows vista is not the operating system for this

...Who are HP? ~~~~~~~~~~~~ HP is an international technology company formed in the late 1930's. ...After I had used the HP Tablet TC4400 model at work I knew it had to be a tablet PC. For those of you that are not aware of the term 'tablet PC'. It refers to a laptop where you can turn the screen and place it flat on the keyboard with the screen face-up. This turns it into a type of notebook that you can use to write on by using the specially supplied stylus pen. Users of a PDA will be familiar with a stylus. You can use it in this mode to surf ... What a stunner
Review of HP Pavilion Media Center dv2530ea Entertainment - Core 2 Duo T7100 1.8 GHz - 14.1" TFT by thewhitewolf

Advantages: great laptop for all your needs
Disadvantages: price needs to come down a little

I review this laptop because i believe that it combines a good amount of everything that you would look for in a versatile pc - brains, brawn and beauty. As a designated home pc, i find it still believable that it is a versatile mobile platform as HPstates. As an entertainment Notebook pc series, it does not fail to deliver. With 160GB of hard drive, it is easily enough to store your movies, videos and music. Whilst games may take up more space, ...
...with the latest mobile technology, this really is a machine for on the move work and play. What is Core 2 Duo? Core 2 Duo is the new processor that Intel unmasked way back in 2005 as a new platform, to be the successor to the Core Duo. The old Core Duo was more or less akin to the Pentium 4 and this new system infrastructure on a new and improved motherboard demonstrably delivers more for your buck than older Intel processors. By way of comparison, ... Read review

Looks nice - when its not away for repair
Review of HP Pavilion Media Center dv2175ea Entertainment - Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz - 14.1" TFT by Simon_DA

Advantages: Stylish and slimline, good 2GB memory, excellent graphics
Disadvantages: 2 major hardware failures in 16 months. Battery already "dead".

...failed, and was returned to HP for servicing. After a couple of weeks HP returned it, with a note saying that the "main board" had been replaced. This, I assume, meant the motherboard. Very unusual for a motherboard to fail in such a short space of time. About 2 months after getting the laptop back, the cooling fan started to make a lot of noise (although admittedly it quietens down after about 5 minutes), and also the battery is now proving to be ...
...laptop as a stand-by, it is Dell Inspiron 1520, 2/3 the price of the HP, much more powerful, albeit not as slim or stylish looking. I would certainly not purchase HP laptops again. With so much competition around, there is no reason to give HP a second chance. ... Read review
