great ! , but could be better
Review of Acer Aspire 9813WKMi - Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz - 20.1" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: screen
Disadvantages: ram!!
When I first came across this laptop, my first thoughts were of how big it was, its screen size is a fantastic 20.1 inches however this does make the laptop really big and bulky and may just be too much for some people who want to carry their laptops around,
I for one, would defiantly not get this laptop if you want one to carry around with you a lot, however I would get this If I wanted to keep it on a desk most of the time like I do with my current ... ...laptop, firstly ill talk about it screen, its 20.1 inches and is really good clear quality too, which means it is great for watching movies on, for playing games on and even just for web browsing as the size of the screen means you could have 2 documents open at once.
For example you could be doing work and need a word document open, and need an internet explorer window open too, to get information, so this can be very handy.
This screen is also ...

wow is this the best laptop ever?
Review of Acer Aspire 9920G-302G32HN - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 20.1" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: the screen
Disadvantages: portability
Now I wouldn't call this a laptop, Id call this a machine. The sheer size of this beast makes it less portable for a laptop, but makes it great as a replacement desktop which will no doubt runs as fast and take up a lot less room.
This laptop has been designed for anyone who is looking for something specifically made for multimedia purposes. It features a fabulous 20.1 inch TFT screen which, for a laptop is huge. This is great for watching movies ... ...if you want a fantastic big screen.
However the screen being this size does make the laptop really less portable, however it still wouldn't be impossible to take this laptop where ever you want and I think the features it has makes up for this small downside.
This laptop has an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, which lets the laptop run at great speeds, and also the 2 gb of built in ram lets you run demanding software and high spec games.

HP Laptop - Good Notebook for small businesses
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook 6715s - Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.9 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
dickmaister
Advantages: quick, value for money
Disadvantages: not the best looking, no special add ons (no built in webcam etc.)
I was given this laptop a few days ago...with Windows vista. I have had experience with vista so it was not that hard to get used to. However this was vista business so it did not come with the windows games which you are used to. With a dual core 1.9Ghz processor, this machine is quick...ideal for all your business needs. For personal use it is also great for games such as Football Manager 2008 and so good it can cope with games such as the Sims. ... ...as Inkball is such a great game. It can play DVDs with built in Intervid dvd watching Kingdom of Heaven on it just today. I recommend this for small businesses and for those who do not mind losing out to minesweeper solitaire hearts and the likes. Great Battery time...not the best looking but good value for money ...

For those of you that are not aware of the term 'tablet PC'. It refers to a laptop where you can turn the screen and place it flat on the keyboard with the screen face-up. A Serious waste of energy.
Review of Gateway M6824 by
demonbarak
Advantages: Well specced
Disadvantages: wrong OS for machine, poor layout
Ok, So, I needed a cheap laptop to do while my computer was being reworked. And what a mistake this one turned out to be!
Its slow, unreliable, difficult to type on.... but let me explain.
I paid over three hundred pounds for this machine. And in all honesty, thirty would have been overpaying.
Features wise its not too bad - wireless, decent quality screen, good keyboard action.
Unfortunately, this is more than offset by the little niggles. Vista ... ...cope absolutely fine with XP, but Vista hogs so much of its meagre gig of memory that nothing runs fullspeed. Its not compatable with so many of the programs and games I know and love... the list of niggles with vista is endless.
The layout - Oh dear god, but whoever designed this machine clearly did not use their brain! You physically cannot type without knocking the mousepad, which flips you out of the program you're typing into and causes havoc. ...
