Vaio...
Review of Sony VAIO NR10E/S - Pentium Dual Core T2310 1.46 GHz - 15.4" TFT by MrBucket90

Advantages: good looking, quite fast, large amount of storage
Disadvantages: crashes sometimes

This laptop feels very solid, with the screen being crystal clear and the keyboard very easy to type on. The sound quality is also very good compared to other laptops i have owned. It comes preinstalled with vista which is good looking and also makes life much easier when u learn all the new features it provides. I particuarly like the position of the SD and Memory Stick Pro card readers, although i feel it would have been much better if an XD card ...
...card); this is not particularly big problem though as i can just easily use the USB cable. Another part of the laptop i liked was the position of the USB ports (On the sides near the front), as they are very easily accessible to me without having to juggle the whole thing around to find the ports on the back. The laptop is quite fast although does speed up quite significantly once the bundled vaio software is removed. The laptop is also very quiet ... Read review

Sony VAIO
Review of Sony VAIO NR21J/S - Pentium Dual Core T2330 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by packerlist

Advantages: LONG BATTERY LIFE AND GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.
Disadvantages: : NO GRAPHIC CARD.

The Sony vaio is a device you can get for£ 500 or less. This is quite a notebook and it is very competence and efficient. It has a very stylish looks and has as very good graphics in terms of picture quality and brightness. I got mine some couple of months ago and I have not gotten any problems with it. The Sony product has 15.4 X -black LCD and that makes the picture a very sharp and bright one. It does all the function you might require a laptop ...
...sloughed in. The Sony notebook is regarded as the leaders in notebooks and computer accessories makers. So with all these features, the device is a masterpiece and to me, it is the best I have used. It has standard 2GB RAM and dual core 1.6Ghz processor. It also runs windows premium and with office 2007ready and that is 90-day trial. It also comes with a year warranty. Great value for money and would be recommended to friends and other people ... Excellent compromise between portability and size
Review of Sony VAIO C2Z/B - Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz - 13.3" TFT by porsche917

Advantages: Strong frame, full size keyboard, excellent screen, not too heavy.
Disadvantages: Windows Vista, runs hot.

I spent a long time looking for a truly portable laptop that would still have a large enough keyboard for heavy duty use, and a large enough screen for watching DVDs, which none of the ultra-portables seemed to offer. Final shortlist was this Vaio and the Apple MacBook. Very pleased I chose the Vaio. Extremely good looking, light enough, full size keyboard, and a great screen. Real upside is a very strong case. Mine was squashed in a bag, and ...
...bent it back and it functions perfectly. Downsides are really to do with Vista, you need to download a patch to ensure the computer will come out of hibernation when you open the screen, and when coming out of hibernation it seems to lose the sound drivers. Also, if you are using it in bed then you need to rest it on something, it gets very hot otherwise! ... Read review

SONY VAIO VGN N21E/W
Review of Sony VAIO N21E/W - Core Duo T2250 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by notimpressedatall

Advantages: amazing lcd screen, large hdd
Disadvantages: slow when running several applications

Bought as a replacement for my old laptop, I was excited to own a vaio laptop - which by the looks of the demo from the shop i bought it was - was amazing. This wasnt a cheap purchase at £650 compared to other laptops on the market but i thought i would treat myself! vista was installed and when using lightly i was very impressed with the interface. that was until i decided to run more than 3 programmes concurrently which caused sufficient lag ...
...features off and run the OS in classic mode. I was also unimpressed with the speakers - I expected a lot more from a vaio laptop and was shocked that the maximum volume was like a whisper. The xblack lcd screen is amazing as well as the inbuilt wireless. A very easy pc to use from mediocre tasks but for software developers or programmers i would recommend something with more memory. Once you get around vistas interface! ... Read review
