Toshiba Satellite.. Uni Computer
Review of Toshiba Satellite A300-177 - Core 2 Duo T5550 1.83 GHz - 15.4" TFT by JMACIAO

Advantages: Cheap, Good Size, Battery Life Ok
Disadvantages: Low GB's, Hard Drive Weak

I bought this computer about six months ago. The monitor size is nice and it gets most things done that I want to do which is good for the affordable price. A couple of negatives include the amount of space is low if you are into any sort of graphics or music, the computer tends to get really hot with use (it would be fine if you do not use it all day), Vista that is installed on the machine has been having difficulty picking up portable hard drives, ...
...few months ago but they seem to have gone away. The battery life is alright, I have used it on flights and it has done the trick. Overall I would not have been able to afford anything if it was not this and it has done the trick. I recommend it for students (thats why I bought it). ... Read review

Disadvantages: none

i just recently bought this laptop when i try to find a good laptop to play online games. from the appearance, i notice that this laptop seems so advance and cool. this laptop is very qualified in performance, both in RAM and hard disk, so i don't have any problem like "hang" or stuck in a program when i run it. when i tried to play online games and also browsing the net, it shows great performance, esspecially the graphics, which is common to people ... Good general laptop
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-1B1 - Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.9 GHz - 15.4" TFT by mrs_mccartney

Advantages: Sturdy, practical, does its job well.
Disadvantages: Not a good entertainment centre, terrible battery life.

...laptops and he told me Toshiba is the one brand he never sees being returned. There's not lots of features although it comes with Premium Home Vista as opposed to Basic which some laptops in the same price bracket have instead of it. Battery life is appalling, about an hour if you do not plug it in, and this is very disappointing. On the plus side, it is very hardy as I have bashed it around and dropped it being clumsy and nothing is broken!! ... Read review

size doesnt always matter
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro U300-148 - Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66 GHz - 13.3" TFT by techno_man_37

Advantages: size, looks, portability
Disadvantages: ram

...and just shows how serious Toshiba actually are about the designs of their laptops. The built in ram in this laptop is ok, its not really anything special but it will do for most. It has just 1gb of ram, however which can make it seem sluggish when trying to run demanding software which takes quite a while to load, and when trying to play the newest games, this laptop really didn’t respond all that well either. However a solution may be to ...
...do, it is a solution to the slow speed problems and if you choose to do so, you will be able to upgrade the laptop to a maximum of 4 gb of ram, which would really improve the laptops speed dramatically. Its nice however to see this laptop with quite a big hard drive. I would first think, if a laptop only had 1 gb of ram, that it would only have an 80 gb hard drive. However it doesn’t, it actually has 120 gb hard drive which is something you’d ... Read review
