A laptop I picked up for university and is a good little performer. I picked mine up in a sale with Windows XP and 512MB of RAM. This laptop comes with 3 USB 2.0 ports, LAN connection, PCMCIA port and VGA socket to connect a monitor too. They're all located in sensible places, unlike some laptops I've seen. I bought this Acer laptop for £500 around a year ago now and so far it has served me well. When I originally took this laptop out of the box, my immediate thought was how light it was for its size.
