Review of ASUS Eee PC 1000H - Atom N270 1.6 GHz - 10" TFT by antoniosteve

Advantages: Light, portable, long battery life, good display and keyboard
Disadvantages: Limited storage

I bought one of these about two months ago, and without a doubt I'd say this laptop has changed my life more than any other piece of computer equipment I've ever owned or encountered. If you're looking for a laptop for work, this is one to consider. Sitting, in size terms, between traditional, larger laptops and PDA devices, the Eee is brilliant for just about any situation where you need your computer on the move. I've used it on trains (both with ...
...while walking to a meeting. While it's light and small, the keyboard is very usable, and doesn't present the same kind of problems with tiny keys as you get on PDAs or Blackberrys. In terms of specification, the N270 can easily run most commonplace business programmes, although I wouldn't recommend it for any high-end graphical work (but then, if you were doing high-end graphical work on the move, I imagine an iBook or similar would be the first ... Advantages: Multi-Touch pad, 802.11n wireless
Disadvantages: cramped keyboard

...display going forward. I wish Asus would do what HP did, and use a 1280x800 screen Pros: Nice design and build quality, solid performance, improved track pad and mouse buttons, 802.11n wireless, online storage option, multi-touch pad. Cons: Small keyboard, included storage should be larger Full detailed review: http://loader.gadgetzone.com.au/Reviews/August-2008/ASUS-Eee-PC-90 1-(Windows-XP).aspx?Page=1 ... Read review

Asus Eee PC 900
Review of Asus Eee PC 900 by benzi330

Advantages: Small, compact and easy to use
Disadvantages: no windows operating system, tiny keyboard and mouse

The Asus Eee PC 701 -- its a very portable laptop that cost me £210. Its a very neat laptop, being a traveller and travelling with my job, I need a light laptop with instant internet, messenger, skype access. This laptop gives you this with ease. All of my colleagues are intrigued by the laptop, especially the guys with 17" screens, lugging them around to every destination. The Eee PC is one of the smallest laptops on the market. At 225 by 35 by ...
...900 odd grams. Its petite dimensions give it a toy-like appearance, but this is countervailed by the pearl-white finish, which gives it a touch of sophistication. Ultimately, the Eee PC looks equally at home on the catwalk or in a child's playpen -- it is what you make of it really! Because it's so small, some sacrifices have been ma!e. The keyboard is exceptionally tiny and the keys are very closely grouped ( not great when you have kids fingers ... Read review

Asus eee
Review of Asus Eee PC 8G by Denise_Stones

Advantages: small , light, great wifi
Disadvantages: poor memory, short battery life, no cd drive

The eee series is very beautiful if your looking for a easy to use small portable laptop this is the one, the only downside is the linux based system but I now have Xp up and running it cost me an extra 50.00 but is well worth it, this was originally made for kids to encourage homework studies but has not been adopted by the older generation. This laptop is strictly for internet and studying purposes do not buy if you want to play games or dvds ...
...not got the memory to cope with memory eating software. It has built in wifi which i was very impressed with its more powerful then the one on my pc. But all in all this is a very impressive little computer that should not be underestimated with its high speed internet connection ... Read review

Good Value for Money
Review of HP Pavilion tx2500ea Entertainment - Turion X2 Ultra ZM-80 2.1 GHz - 12.1" TFT by Maxcfernando

Advantages: Nice touch screen, good keyboard, good for students who need to draw diagrams
Disadvantages: Screen glare is bad, can't seemuch in sunlight, vista slows it down

I want to point out first that this is not a gaming laptop. If you keep that in mind when you buy or try this out then you will enjoy using this laptop. The laptop only has a 12.1" screen, however this is big enough to be able to see everything on it clearly and I think that the screen is very good, especially for a tablet pc which usually have rubbish screens. I also like buttons that are set all around the screen and the usability of the laptop. ...
...touch pad is good and sensitive and can be locked so when you are writing on the screen it doesn't interfere. The keyboard is a decent size and feels solid. The laptop does however have its flaws, the screen gets dirty too quickly, it is difficult to see in high natural light and sunlight, and vista makes the laptop very slow for a dual core, 2GB pc. Overall however this laptop is easily the best value for money tablet pc that you are going to be ... Read review
