Dell XPS M-2010
Review of Dell Inspiron XPS M2010 by frode123

Advantages: Easy to upgrade, 2x HD, 4xGB
Disadvantages: Heavy, Large

I needed a Laptop that could give me the experince of a Tabletop. And this Computer gave it all and more. The screen is exelent, you can have 2 hard drives installed, in Raid 0 or as 2 disks. The keyboard, the feature with the touch pad is great. You can sit in the sofa and use the mouse directly on the keyboad while the laptop is on the table. I have used this laptop for about 7 month's now, I love it. The battery is really good compared to ...
...I installed 2 Gb Ram in mine, because of Windows Vista. Dont like 1 GB. This is recommended.... The sound on this laptop is one of the best things I have ever heard on a laptop. You will not need external speakers to listen to music or watch a movie. If you want to use this laptop as a home entertainment system, no problem, you have all the outputs you will need and the touch pad on the laptop it self gives you the posibillity to change songs/videos/volum ... great ! , but could be better
Review of Acer Aspire 9813WKMi - Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz - 20.1" TFT by techno_man_37

Advantages: screen
Disadvantages: ram!!

When I first came across this laptop, my first thoughts were of how big it was, its screen size is a fantastic 20.1 inches however this does make the laptop really big and bulky and may just be too much for some people who want to carry their laptops around, I for one, would defiantly not get this laptop if you want one to carry around with you a lot, however I would get this If I wanted to keep it on a desk most of the time like I do with my current ...
...laptop, firstly ill talk about it screen, its 20.1 inches and is really good clear quality too, which means it is great for watching movies on, for playing games on and even just for web browsing as the size of the screen means you could have 2 documents open at once. For example you could be doing work and need a word document open, and need an internet explorer window open too, to get information, so this can be very handy. This screen is also ... Read review

HP DV6599 Special Edition - Good All Rounder
Review of HP Pavilion Media Center dv6599ea Special Edition Entertainment - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by marcus997

Advantages: Features, size and design
Disadvantages: Not good enough for gaming

...me. As a fan of HP products, I chose from the DV6500 range available at the time. This laptop had every spec I required for both using as a station for university assignments, as well as home use for music, film and gaming. Firstly, the design is eye-catching. I was bored of looking at the generic black or grey and thought the white anti-scratch surface was ideal. The laptop is also quite light and the absense of a locking clip meant there was less ...
...more than my money's worth! HP also frequently offer discounts so it's always worth checking to see what deals are to be had. As well as the remote control that is stored away when not in use, another of my favourite features is the fingerprint reader. When you use the internet on a frequent basis, remembering usernames and passwords can be frustrating. For anyone who hops from website to website, I'd highly recommend this feature. Thankfully I ... Does an excellent job for most day to day tasks
Review of Toshiba Equium A200-26D - Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66 GHz - 15.4" TFT by s32bauer

Advantages: Good looks, most basic equipment you would need, able to handle most programs
Disadvantages: Not suitable for games, some aspects feel cheap

...However, I will warn that Toshiba have placed quite a lot of branding on the software. The Toshiba wallpaper is easy to get rid of, but there are numerous 'memory eating' programs that Toshiba claim to help your laptop - they do nothing worthwhile. Certainly nothing that Windows can't do better. Separate programs for controlling the touch pad aren't required, and uninstalling all of this non-essential software frees up storage space and memory. ...
...ethernet port for my internet, and have had no issues with either. The ethernet is very straight forward plug and play, and connects to your ISP in seconds. The display is extremely crisp and sharp, and the brightness can be changed to suite your needs (and energy consumption). On the subject of energy consumption, this laptop isn't too bad compared to some I have used. I can run my laptop in high performance mode using wireless LAN for internet, ... Read review

Acceptable Toshiba.
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 by AmenTeen

Advantages: Speed, comfortabe, cheap.
Disadvantages: No webcam built-in.

The Toshiba brand has always been noted with mass gratitude for solid and robust piece-of-art laptops and particularity, the Satellite Pro A200 is not an odd exception, not a disappointment. The Satellite Pro offers Intel new processor technology as far as concerned. This advantage gives the user open options for use of softwares and applications compatible with the new technology of duo-core. Still the duo-core processors are robust, at least 1.5GHZ ...
...users. This notebook has its Toshiba manufactured hard disk, well known for being solid and long life. The design of coated screen is classic and gives a great look with the new windows vista interface. The touchpad is just a tad too small given all the unutilised space above the keyboard where the speakers and quick launch buttons live. The left hand side of the chassis houses your video options with VGA and S-Video out, Ethernet port, two USB ... Read review
