Before you buy the Fujitsu likebook 7230 please read my experience. I bought the 7230 lifebook from Fujitsu direct a few weeks ago and had it configured for 1G of memory. I based this on their own user guide which says the machine has 1G of onboard memory under the keyboard which is not user accessible, and another slot on the back which is user accessible for another 1G. so i had planned to upgrage later when i found out how fast or slow it runs. ...

the lifebook is a good student tool if you the most you will do is work and light gaming, but if you are a kick back gamer then the lifebook will not please you. 1.8Ghz and 512mb struggles a bit. 1.8 Ghz (gigahertz, what speed of computers is measured in, fastest is around 3.2) is ok for a laptop but their isnt much to compare with as as soon as you get the product in your house they will have something faster on the shelves. 512 MB (megabytes) ...

The Dell Inspiron 600m is an amazing laptop, even for just the beginner laptop-user. I've used alot of laptops in my time and this laptop actually stays with me, as it is a good laptop, and can take a beating at any time, if you're worried about it.
