Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S7110 Value - Core Duo T2500 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by philglen

Advantages: Good Performance
Disadvantages: Not easy to use as a programmer

Having bought this product second hand I feel I can objectively give my opinion on how well this product performs, as I was not biased at the point of sale by its looks, or features. As a web developer I use computers almost constantly so ease of use is of utmost importance, and unfortunately for me I do not find this a user friendly piece of equipment. Let me start with the positives. It is a nice size and although quite heavy it is of good build ...
...can be viewed from an angle which is ideal for presenting to a client. Performance wise it is pretty quick and can handle several heavy weight applications open at once, i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator & Dreamweaver. However I expected a higher resolution than 1024 x 768 for such a high priced business machine. (Any other web developers out there will know that it simply is not big enough). Also because it is quite small in size the keyboard layout ... Read review

Good notebook terrible customer service
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook P7230 - Core Solo U1400 1.2 GHz - 10.6" TFT by Bearxlover

Advantages: Good Notebook but needs 2G memory
Disadvantages: Terribel customer service see review

Before you buy the Fujitsu likebook 7230 please read my experience. I bought the 7230 lifebook from Fujitsu direct a few weeks ago and had it configured for 1G of memory. I based this on their own user guide which says the machine has 1G of onboard memory under the keyboard which is not user accessible, and another slot on the back which is user accessible for another 1G. so i had planned to upgrage later when i found out how fast or slow it runs. ...
...without changing their user manual. Fujitsu have been giving me the run around right from the start on this...first denying that the user guide wass wrong...then admitting that there was a mistake but still not willing to make it right. To add insult to injury they then charged my credit card for the full amount when i tried to buy a 2G chip, even though the module was back ordered for at least 4/5 weeks. When i protested they said this was standard ... Read review

T4010
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook T4010 - Pentium M 745 1.8 GHz - 12.1" TFT by mudmank

Advantages: light, good battery
Disadvantages: graphics

the lifebook is a good student tool if you the most you will do is work and light gaming, but if you are a kick back gamer then the lifebook will not please you. 1.8Ghz and 512mb struggles a bit. 1.8 Ghz (gigahertz, what speed of computers is measured in, fastest is around 3.2) is ok for a laptop but their isnt much to compare with as as soon as you get the product in your house they will have something faster on the shelves. 512 MB (megabytes) ...
...gamers. most games do run on it. the lifebook comes with a 4 year (collect and return) manufacturer gurantee which is good, just in case, they will pick it up and drop it off, but it still needs insurance because this warranty covers flaws not damage. . switching it from notebook to tablet is not a problem, and there is not much lag or delay when doing so, just swivel the screen and click down, i have heard some people say that the hinge feels ... Inspiron 1525 and inspiration!
Review of Dell Inspiron 1525 by aliswan1

Advantages: good processor, beautiful screen, loads of little extra perks
Disadvantages: cant think of any

This laptop is great! Dell gave me this free due to having so many problems with my old inspiron 6000, and i couldn't be happier. when it arrived i compared it to my old laptop, which dell let me keep until i had transfered my documents over, and it is by far the better quality laptop. its light weight, the keys are cushioned so you dont have that annoying clicking noise when you type. the screen is beautiful, it is so clear and the pciture quality ...
...can connect it to a HD TV and play games on a big sreen and a memory card reader which reads SD cards, XD cards and sony memory stick pro cards easily and transfers data quickly! the wedge shape tilts the keyboard for ease of use both on a desk and on your knee. I'm over the moon with my freebie laptop, and would have happily buy one if i needed to! ... Read review

Dell Inspiron 1720
Review of Dell Inspiron 1720 by a_k_bardot

Advantages: Reasonably Priced, Easy to Use, Large Screen
Disadvantages: Heavy

...reasonably priced and I trusted Dell products from my personal and friends' previous use. The screen is fairly large which conributes towards the ease of use of this particlular model. I have had it just under a year and I have experienced no problems whatsoever, I regularly browse the internet and have uploaded many photos but neither have slowed it down. Admitably I am not the most technically advanced person but I have found it so easy to use. ... Read review
