Review of Sony VAIO AR61M - Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2 GHz - 17" TFT by chris.webb.88

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: keyboard

...own keyboard. However I would not let this put you off buying a really great laptop. Other than this, I would highly recommend this laptop. It also has other usefull features such as a memory card reader and really simple to use Sony software. I have no regrets! ... Read review

Acer Aspire 7720
Review of Acer Aspire 7720 - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 17" TFT by techno_man_37

Advantages: its speed and performance
Disadvantages: rubbish webcam

...a very new one from acer and is being used in more and more of their laptops because of its popularity with customers. It does have split opinions however, some love it and some people really cant stand the look of it. I however think its great, its black and cream colour, with a lovely glossy lid looks cool and very neat and tidy. Also what I like about this Is its clearly a design that acer has come up with and kept, and it clearly represents their ...
...the same as others and you cant tell what brand they are, this however, much like the look of apples imacs you can tell they belong to which company. The installed ram on this laptop is great, it has a massive 2gb which is the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also its intel core 2 duo T7300 which is one of the newest processors makes this laptop run so fast. And if the 2 gb isn't enough for you (although I cant see this amount ever not being ... Read review

Toshiba Satellite P200-1EE
Review of Toshiba Satellite P200-155 - Core 2 Duo T5300 1.73 GHz - 17.1" TFT by bindie

Advantages: HDMI Port, Quite, Cheap for 17" Laptop
Disadvantages: 2GB RAM, and HD-DVD Drive

...HD-DVD drive built in because Toshiba was a company responsible for creating these disks, but they did not take off and a Blu-Ray drive would have been a better option. But it still works in all the normal ways that a DVD-ROM driver would and plays all DVDs and CDs. There is a dual core processor located inside which helps to run the Vista operating system, but at times it is very slow. This is generally the case when there are multiple windows open. ...
...and quickly e.g. opening and using Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. The overall design of the laptop I would say is very good. With the addition of Harman/Lardon speakers it means that it has excellent sound quality when playing music, videos, etc. It is also helped with neatly placed media controls at the top of the laptop. It is a very good laptop for the price, but the only thing that is letting it down is the amount of RAM, but this is upgradable, ... Read review

great new acer
Review of Acer TravelMate 7720-302G16Mn - Core 2 Duo T7300 - 17" TFT by punk_rocker

Advantages: fast great screen
Disadvantages: could look cooler

...another great laptop from the acer travelmate range. this laptop, like all the other travelmates is specifically designed for those working people. You can tell by looking at it that its not really a gaming or movie laptop, because it does look very business like, however its not ugly and it does look quite sleek. This features a Intel Core 2 Duo processor which runs the 2gb installed ram like a dream. Another great thing about this laptop is that ...
...Another great thing about this acer compared to the other ones, is that it has a 17 inch screen. A lot of previous travelmates only had a 15.2 inch screen so its great to see this one have a 17 inch screen. Also just because the screens got bigger, you'd think it would have less battery life, well actually it has 3 hours, which is a lot more than some of the previous versions. However it is a bit bulkier than some of the previous acers, only a bit ... Read review

All you expect from Sony without the high price!
Review of Sony VAIO AR51M - Core 2 Duo T7250 2 GHz - 17" TFT by carlamp

Advantages: Great all round quality product
Disadvantages: Battery life low, DVD Write speed could be better

...business and home use. My Sony Vaio has not let me down with either of these. Design ********* In general the design of the laptop, (although much the same as any other) is very good. The extra ports are well laid out and easy to access. The laptop is not as lightweight as others on the market, but is still light enough to be carried around with comfort. The keyboard is well designed and easy to use likewise is the touch-pad. In terms of build ...
...with the amazingly clear screen. Sony have for some time been a brand leader with their range of black screens. The 17" TFT fitted to this laptop is no exception. The image quality and clarity is nothing less than superb. Before buying the laptop, I was a bit sceptical with regards to the "High-Res'" claims made by Sony. Having now had what can only be described as "The Pleasure" of owning it, I can confirm that "High Resolution" is exactly what ... Read review
