Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: keyboard

...own keyboard. However I would not let this put you off buying a really great laptop. Other than this, I would highly recommend this laptop. It also has other usefull features such as a memory card reader and really simple to use Sony software. I have no regrets! ... Read review

Great for games and films
Review of Sony VAIO AR71M - Core 2 Duo T8100 2.1 GHz - 17" TFT by d15549

Advantages: good graphics card for games, blu ray, good amount of hard drive space
Disadvantages: battery, weight

The VAIO AR series laptops are some of the most powerful on the market, and have great build quality to go with it. One of the greatest parts of the laptop is the ability to watch blu ray discs on the move in full hd. There are only a few companies that offer this, and for the price - it is an excellent additional feature. This does drain the battery, however it does last a reasonable time for using it on the go. Another great feature is the screen. ... Read review

...even thoth the grahics card has only 32mb it seem to run more like a dream of 128mb i know you can get faster machines now but just to point out that this came out in 2004 you can see how powerfall this beast of a machice is and also the fact it it qute upgradable it used a socket 478 with a fsb of 800 {desktop ??} add more memary and you have a machine that that was ahead of its time just a shame about the fan ... Good Value for Money
Review of HP Pavilion tx2500ea Entertainment - Turion X2 Ultra ZM-80 2.1 GHz - 12.1" TFT by Maxcfernando

Advantages: Nice touch screen, good keyboard, good for students who need to draw diagrams
Disadvantages: Screen glare is bad, can't seemuch in sunlight, vista slows it down

I want to point out first that this is not a gaming laptop. If you keep that in mind when you buy or try this out then you will enjoy using this laptop. The laptop only has a 12.1" screen, however this is big enough to be able to see everything on it clearly and I think that the screen is very good, especially for a tablet pc which usually have rubbish screens. I also like buttons that are set all around the screen and the usability of the laptop. ...
...touch pad is good and sensitive and can be locked so when you are writing on the screen it doesn't interfere. The keyboard is a decent size and feels solid. The laptop does however have its flaws, the screen gets dirty too quickly, it is difficult to see in high natural light and sunlight, and vista makes the laptop very slow for a dual core, 2GB pc. Overall however this laptop is easily the best value for money tablet pc that you are going to be ... Read review
